Taverna Agni - Agni Bay

This web site, has been created by Nathan from Taverna Agni. Many people who find this website, and then visit, are often surprised (and pleased) to find that Taverna Agni is just a  small family run concern. You will find our Taverna located on the beach in Agni bay; it has been in the same family since it was built in 1851. Mum (Aphrodite) and Dad (Harilos) even in their 70's still play an active role. Theodore, their son, catches fish for the Taverna. Eleni, their daughter, works with mum in the kitchen preparing and serving food. Nathan came on holiday twelve years ago - but stayed!

How to Find us

During the summer months (May - October), we are open daily. We serve lunch from noon-4pm and evening meals from 7.30pm - 11pm  When Are You Open
I do not believe that any Taverna or restaurant can please everyone. Peoples tastes, demands and pockets are all different. If you are looking for a place to 'just feed the kids' then we are probably an unsuitable choice. What Are Your Prices?
Agni bay is a quiet and un-spoilt bay, located on the NE coast of Corfu. On the map, Agni is between Nissaki and Kalami. It is not often marked as it is only recently that a road was brought down to the bay. How To Find Us

The Taverna Staff

By now, you have probably realised that this is an extensive web site. It started as a hobby and a way of keeping in touch with the many visitors who have become friends - but of course has now grown into the 'Corfu Travel Guide'. The Site is constantly being improved and updated. Nathan (and Eleni) who run 'Taverna Agni' are responsible. Who Created the Corfu Travel Guide?
At Taverna Agni, we have searched out the most exciting traditional Greek fare and added a Mediterranean twist. If you have visited us before, then you are sure to want to try making some of our local dishes. Taverna Agni Recipes

As well as the family members (mum and dad, Theo, Eleni and Nathan), Taverna Agni employs sixteen people. Find out more about them. Taverna Agni Staff
