Would be easier if there were not so many places calling themselves Sunset Taverna LOL And I still cannot give a definitive route to it Smile I have got it marked on Mapman's map but that does not even help us when we are driving LOL

I believe that the Sunset and Monolithi tavernas are signposted from Acharavi old village.

They are but the signs have never been much help to us, not for Sunset anyway, we still get lost every time but it is a nice drive LOL

Just keep on heading up the mountain Susieh lol. You'll get there sooner or later. Think I will make Sunset my first taverna in August. It's a 5 minute drive from our apartment (or 20 if we get lost)!

Sounds like the Monolithi to me also but I haven't been for a few years so I guess it may have changed it's name.

Sadly I can't help with directions as the owner always picks us up and drops us off. He had to do 2 trips last time as there was 7 of us! I do remember passing the Monolithi on the way up though.

Oh I think if you head down the side road past the Pumphouse toward old Acharavi and take the first right it is signposted to the Sunset, then just keep heading upwards LOL. If you see me there in August, wave Thumbs Up

Although Acharavi wasn't originally on my itinerary in September I've now made it my mission in Life to find the Sunset Tavern! Thanks for the directions but the fun will be finding it and enjoying the adventure of doing so!! Thumbs Up

It's only my opinion and personal preference, but I would personally avoid the nights that both tavernas (Monolithi and Sunset) have trips/coaches from the surrounding areas. I feel that the large groups of people trudging off coaches spoils the atmosphere of both tavernas. Again, only my opinion...misery guts I know!
