We went to a lovely place on the hill top just outside of Kassiopi when we were there a few years ago, thought it was called Panorama (or something like that) but the veiws were to die for.
Visiting again in September, can anyone tell me if this place is still there?

Hi this is the brochure description of the excursion we booked through Cosmic Excursions they were very good.
Let us take you to the top! Our mini-coach will take you on a spectacular drive to the very top of Corfu’s highest mountain, Mount Pontakrator, 906m high where you’ll have breathtaking views of the whole Island & coastal villages of Albania, & even mainland Greece. You will also have the chance to look around the 14th Century Monastery with icons, frescoes & works of art. We then take you for a further drive through Corfu’s beautiful countryside to ‘Hliovasilema’ – Sunset Taverna – nestling high in the mountains of the north in a peaceful tranquil setting. Take a stroll through the country lanes with only the butterflies for company. Then you can enjoy a home cooked meal (very good prices) while enjoying the most spectacular sunset in Europe. This is your chance to see the Corfiot way of life as it was before tourism. This has to be experienced to be believed |

LOL we have been to the Sunset Taverna, I am assuming you mean the one which overlooks the coast between Acharvi and Kassiopi?
We always go for a coffee to soak up the view and escape the heat of the day What I can tell you is we have never been the same way twice!! But we always manage to find it somehow!! There do seem to be signs for it in the roads above Acharvi but they never seem to help. We have never risked it at night because we always go late in the season and it is dark and finding it in the dark would be a step too far!!! |

Hi all we visited Kassiopi in June and we had a fantastic time as we always do. While we were there we went on a trip with Cosmic excursions it was to the highest point on Corfu with a lovely monastery then on to the Sunset Taverna. Well the Sunset Taverna was the highlight of our stay the food was perfect the house wine was so good we had to have more.
Then the view well words cannot describe how beautiful it was the best view we had seen even better than Paleokastritsa.
What I would like to know is has anyone else been there and is there an easier way of getting there rather than going on a trip as all we want is to go for a meal, also we do not drive so what would a taxi cost.
If you have not been then do your self a favour when your next out that way and pay a visit to the greatest view in Corfu.
