Back from a glorious week in Kassiopi. Well apart from the weather on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. How I managed to get a tan was beyond me.
Had a terrific thunderstorm on the Monday night, it rain so hard and constant that we could not get out to eat, so our tea that night consisited of a bag of mini chedders and Strawberries. Still we could see the funny side of it really, as we hadn't made our minds up where to go for our evening meal anyway.
It was great seeing friendly faces again, they seemed so pleased so see us back. Very quiet and not too many people around.
Cosmic had a fire early Friday 11th May and the place was nearly gutted, but they still managed to carry on changing money and booking trips. They are realy troupers and it seemed that they had a lot of friends helping them out to try and get the shop back in shape, by the end of our week they were almost there.
We stayed at the Dimas apartments and Chris has done a lot this year to the place. New Bar and seating area, and D block all have air conditioning. We were so greatful as we could use it to warm our aparment up as well as it was so cold at night.
Looking forward to September and hopefully have a warmer 2 weeks.

Just looked at the temperature gage today... looks like 30 degrees!! Looks like you just missed the sunshine. We are off to Gouvia in September, we usually go in May, but September is now my favourite month. Did you see any fireflies? I love those little insects!!... We fly out on September 10th on our honeymoon. Where is Cosmic please, we'll be going to Kassiopi on our travels and will be looking to change some sterling this year.

Glad you had a good time despite the weather, and that Cosmic are getting sorted out.

Lindeybell - Just our luck that the weather changed, mind you this week in the UK it is meant to be better than Corfu. Not the same though as sitting at the Wave bar people watching and catching a few rays. We are booked to go away in September and the last three years we have been going the weather has been brilliant, better than May in fact.
Ellenjay - I am not sure where the tables on the quayside came from. Seemed to be connected to the bar on the corner before you trek up the hill to the Dimas Apartments. They did seem very popular this year.
