Lizzy my love, I don't get there till late on the 29th and there's only 30 days in July that means you and me would have to meet up on the Monday or Tuesday for a Beer.

Bruce your latest news is delivered with your customary optimism and bonhomie!

Hopefully you will make a good recovery to enable you to get to Kassiopi in July but if not you will be back soon enough I'm sure.  If it's September then you may even get to meet me when I'm on the Island. Now Bruce I got to tell you that is a real incentive to get better soon so you can holiday in July!!! Wink

I hope that I am never in a position to have to take a decision like that Bruce and I hope it all works out well for you.

I'll have to have a word with Kosta about the drink measures for you and get him to reduce them, to increase the time you can spend at the bar between bag servicing

OK Angela and Lizzy, there's no need to gloat...I was only thinking that as 2012 was a leap year there would only be 30 days in July this year..but my Maria pointed out to me that only applies to February. (her exact words were  "Silly Censored")..

Cheers guys for all your love and I know I'll make a success of this...I won't be the first to have it done and I certainly won't be the last..we have to accept what God doles out to us in this life and then make the best of it we can.Handshake 
 
This will crack you up guys, I carry a donor card in my wallet...Lets hope some poor sod doesn't require a bladder when it's my time to meet my Maker..because they are going to be very disappointed, ain't they LOLLOLLOL

And has for asking Kostas to reduce the measure's of Metaxa, please don't..because the amount of Metaxa I drink of a night will not get flushed away now..I'll just pop upstairs from the bar and change the bag and keep the full 100% 5* Metaxa one for later onClapClapClapBeer

Bruce, if you have more than 100 mls coming BACK from Corfu - do you think you'll get arrested being over the limit of Metaxa you can bring back into the UK! Beer  You'll not mind though if they ask you to taste it!

Sounds like you have made the correct choice, I know a few people criticise the NHS but they do a fantastic job, you'll be in good hands.

This is funny, you know when they throw all those medical names and terms at you at the hospital you wonder what they are on about....well the consultant mention this one word and I wondered why he put the word  "DOCTOR" in front of it..afterwards I was speaking to the Macmillan nurse  and I ask her what it meant..was it a medical term or was it something inside of me.
 
LOLLOLLOLLOLLOL No she said laughing it's the surgeons name who will be removing your bladder.

Hi Bruce, I am sorry the treatment not worked, but sure you made right choice. Have several friends who cope really well with them, and live full lifes. I am sure it will take more than this to get you down Bruce, you have a fantastic sense of humour, its what has got us through one of the worst years of our lifes. Lifes a roller coaster, hang on and enjoy the ride, out of bad usually comes good, look at all the love and support you have on here, and I am sure off all your family and friend. Sorry to hear your news Bruce, and I hope you get over your op soon and enjoy your holiday in Kassiopi.You know your own body better than anyone and I am sure you have made the right choice. I am sure with your strong sense of humour and positive thinking you will soon be on the mend and I feel sorry for those poor nurses who will be looking after your after care, they won't know when you are joking or being serious. Mr Rixy had prostate cancer it will have been 5 years in April and thankfully his treatment worked. Would you pass on our love to Maria I know how she must be feeling   xxSmileHug

Bruce, I suffer horribly with dash to the loo syndromeConfused I actually have three kidneys (Im a wierdo) so do tend to have more visits than the average person. After last years traumatic start to our holiday one of our first places at Gatwick was to stop for a very large coffeeDisapprove OH BOY did I regret it!! I believe I must have visited the ladies probably 5 times before the gate was called and then even had to pit stop on the way to the gate and then at least 3 times on the plane, I was starting to get funny looks from other passengers. By the time we got to Corfu I still had to make the trip to the smelly airport loo down the stairs...eughhhh gross!!! Tongue in cheek but at least you wont have to do the smelly Corfu loo!!..take care..Heart julesxx

By the way Rixy, Thanks, you have just reminded me...They also told me while they are removing my bladder they will also remove my prostate..
 
 
God there won't be a lot left of me at this rate will there..I'll have to pin a note to my donor card explaining what I do have left inside Thumbs Up  this is in addition to 1 middle finger missing, most of my hair, no teeth.. and something else Embarrassed

Just thought you may like to know..the Macmillan nurse rang me this morning..she has managed to to get me a appointment this afternoon to see the surgeon who's going do the business on me old bladder and prostate, now all I have to do is to persuade this gentleman that it is imperative he does it as soon as possible because of my holiday in Kassiopi.Thumbs Up
