We've booked Lofus for next year, 17th June for two weeks. The wife's brother and partner are joining us for the first week. They are newby's to Kassiopi so they'll probably get hooked like us.

Hi Big Al, We were going to book the Lofos for 2 weeks in June but the room had gone so booked for the Andreas pool instead. Might get to meet someone else off the forum as I only know Alecko and Angel of the north. We will be the geordies sat in Visions or Lime Lounge |

That was my idea as well Norma, even though we dont go for another 3 weeks.
Unfortunatly we will miss you as you come on the day we leave when I look at your holiday countdown it doesnt seem that far away when you look at the days but Im sure it will feel like an eternity

Very up and down at the moment with the Cyprus problems etc.
Its anyones bet when to get some but we will be taking sterling with us and changing it in Kassiopi so we will get what we get. Last September when we went we got a good rate but in the June we got quite a bit less. At the end of the day we are in Corfu and everything else is a bonus.

Hi Daveneil,
All I can advise is to keep an eye on the exchange rate and try to judge when it is best to buy. I have been watching it this week and it has risen from 1.14 on Monday to 1.18 today, which I assume is due to the Cyprus problems.

Have any of you looked at ASDA they seem to be giving the best rate at the moment, commission free. We go May 13th so have been looking around over the last week. I think its 1.15 today.

A month ago the interbank rate was 1.15430 so you got 10 cents to the pound more than the banks were getting. Wow.
The post office rates are usualy pretty lousy but they have handiness in their favour.

Like every year since the year dot I'll take my pounds to Kassiopi and change them there. It saves all that bother of changing them here in the UK...plus the Greeks make a few cents, the travel companies already make enough out of me...
