Hi everyone
After looking at peoples suggestions on this board and using my own personal experiences, I have put the list of things to do, see and places to eat together for my hols in August. Have I missed anything obvious off? Any further suggestions welcome:

Hi,
I would say for a special, romantic meal, Agni Taverna of an evening. A little more expensive, but the food is sublime. The view is to die for. Depending on where you are staying you can book their speedboat to take you there. I would think that the nearest to Acharavi that they pick up would be San Stef NE.

Maistro is a good taverna on the beach in Acharavi. Take the turning just past Castaway Travel, then the turning on the left before Skondros. Maistro is signposted at this turning.
Maybe a trip up to Old Peritheia? Did you mean Gelatis in New Peritheia and Petrinos in Kassiopi? Sounds like you're going to be here for a few months then!!!  |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I have been going to Acharavi since 1997 and unfortuntely I do get carried away with trying to fit a lot in which doesn't always work! We are going for 3 weeks so should manage to do quite a bit. Again, thanks all.

Eat lots of Greek food Scuba diving Donkey santuary Eat Read Kindle wilst sunbathing Lunch at Old Perithia Snorkel at Kaminaki or Kerasia beach Get fantastically lost on a mystery tour Eat at Woodys Get wobbly on cocktails Did I say eat More scuba diving More eating More donkeys Ice cream dream Randomly sitting with cold beer and watch the world go by Eat again Sleep in the afternoon because I cant at home

Drive to Corfu town and sit on causway and plane watch
Eat some gyros Have a day and do nothing except swim, read,sleep OH AND EAT!!! Go home depressed and book flights for September Blimey Im hungry!!!

Sounds great julesx2.
I love the snorkelling and scuba diving so any suggestions as to the best places to go would be great. I eat and drink far too much too but you only live once and I only get 3 weeks in Corfu per year! |

We scuba dive with the company in Acharavi just opposite the supermarket, we have done about 5 dives and never been to the same place twice. He will take kids over 13 or 14 I think and only about 8 or 10 meters so not far and hes a very patient teacher. Im not too sure if i will be diving this year as I have had bad ear trouble but Mr jules will and if my ears wont clear I can always snorkle from the boat. Good snorkeling places are around Agni, Kalami, Nissaki and just by getting lost last year we found Kerasia beach and thats good for snorkelling but my favourite has to be Kaminaki beach for clear water and good fish..julesxx

There is something you haven't got on your list GJ - we hired a boat for a couple of days last year when were in Kassiopi and it was the best two days of our holidays - finding little coves and everyone (except me !) swimming and snorkelling off the back of the boat, pulling up to a deserted beach with a picnic, dashing through the waves getting soaked. We had a really great time. Happy memories! Oh, got to do it all again in seven weeks :-)
Don't miss an evening (or two) in Kostas Bar in Kassiopi - a great atmosphere and greek dancing .

Thanks again for all your suggestions and some are definitely going on my list!
I always think it's interesting about what people want from a holiday.
I have to be doing things and I'm not much of a sun woshipper. Whereas my Wife, God
love her, is very much a lie in the sun for 8 hours a day kind of girl! So you can imagine
the amount of compromise we have to do on our hols.
For me, as long as you enjoy your well earned holiday time, and you are not hurting anyone,
who cares what you do?
Anyway, happy holidays all and only 7 weeks to go
