Just 8km from Corfu Town, Marble House enjoys breathtaking views across rolling countryside to Gouvia Marina, the north east coastline and across the clear, blue water to the Albanian mountains.
Standing in the midst of extensive and completely private grounds, this elegant villa benefits from beautifully tended gardens, tennis court and a quite stunning swimming pool.

Inside, the ground floor is largely open plan.  This magnificent living space incorporates lounge, study, kitchen  and dining areas.  Huge patio doors lead out onto a breakfast balcony that enjoy wonderful views across verdant countryside and on to the sea beyond.

The spacious, fully fitted kitchen area, is well equipped.   Its facilities include a dishwasher, hob, oven, microwave, and fridge/freezer. It also has an informal table and chairs, ideal for indoor breakfasts and light lunches. 

Just off the kitchen is a cloakroom that also houses the washing machine.

The lounge has three picture windows/patio doors, a bar area, large open fireplace and plenty of comfortable seating, including no less than 5 sofas. There is ample provision for indoor entertainment, with satellite TV (free channels only), DVD, Playstation 1 and CD player.

Study Area

One corner of the sitting room has been fitted out as a small study and library area.  Ideal for those who need to bring a laptop with them or just for writing post-cards home.  Handy bookshelves are well stocked with plenty of holiday reading.

Even during the heat of the day, the lounge remains cool and restful.
 

A very pleasant dining room leads off the kitchen.  With seating for eight, it  overlooks the well-tended rose garden to the side of the house and the tennis court behind.

A marble staircase leads to the first floor where there are four bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms and air conditioning. Each has its own private balcony from which to enjoy the glorious views.

The upper terrace with its magnificent views across the undulating green hills, so typical of inland Corfu.
 

All bedrooms have an en suite bathroom, complete with corner bath.

The Pool

Apart from being located in a most attractive setting just below the villa, the pool has a number of facilities that mean you need not drag yourself away until it is absolutely necessary. These include a poolside 'bar', BBQ, and a separate shower/wc.

Depth: 1.40m throughout.
The pool is in a particularly attractive setting, with lawns, sundeck and shaded sitting areas.

Tennis Court

Just in case you feel the need for some energetic exercise, there is a full size tennis/basketball court in the grounds.  Equipped with floodlighting, it offers the opportunity to enjoy a late game in the cool of evening, rather than during the heat of the day. 

Spectacular Views

All the balconies at Marble house are tiered, so that no matter where you sit you have a spectacular view. From the flat roof-top terrace you can admire a 360 degree view whilst sunbathing in total seclusion.

This is an utterly serene view, looking east to the sunrise, the mainland and the small island of Vidos lying off the town of Corfu, or west to the Ropa Valley and the sunset.
 

The Garden

The grounds are lovingly cared for and tended by the friendly owners - Lambrini and Nikos.
 

The entrance to Marble House is via a private drive with locking gates.
All in all, a wonderfully spacious house, set in mature gardens boasting peace, quiet and uninterrupted elevated views.
 

Note

Due to the amount of marble and different levels of steps in this property, parents with children are advised to keep a vigilant eye on younger members in their party.
