Ah, I see what you mean. I have just tried to use a colour as a test.
These changes were forced upon Nathan as there have been several problems with the previous system, culminating yesterday evening in people being unable to post at all.
This may only be a temporary change, so please bear with him. Better to have this system than one that no longer allowed people to comment at all.

Denise, you have to select your colour before you type, when you do a little box will appear top left.
Then change to a different colour
And another, remember to click the ok button after you want to stop using a colour and start using another.

Hi Rixy, Mine first came up as a header and said this is a scripted window, I then clicked allow and then the script box came up in the top left hand corner.
Hubby just back says its because I have pop up blockers?????

you do need to change between prompt n basic to get the top left hand box, and if you have pop up blocker you should be able to 'disable' it when prompted, sure this site is safe!! lol

Don't give up Linda when I clicked colour I had header at top same as Denise saying if you trust this site click , once I did that I clicked colour again and had box in top left corner

Another way of doing it is to change mode to basic select the colour you want. This will bring up two sets of brackets click your cursor between the brackets and type the words you want in that colour then click your cursor outside those brackets to continue. The message you're typing on the screen will ALL appear as BLACK type. Click on Preview Post and you will see the colours appear. Hope this makes sense.

Surely folks is everyone getting too obsesed by this -
As far as I understand the system is running in "safe" mode just at the moment so as not to crash like it did yesterday - and these slightly more complex actions are just there until whatever "glich" has been fixed -
I am sure it will be "business as usuall" very soon - unless Nathan wishes to advise otherwise

Sedgi....on the right hand side of the reply box there is a drop down next to the word
Mode change this from prompt to basic then follow instructions in my previous thread.
