Hi Im looking to book a Holiday in sidari we have been given a couple of Names (Monika and Alexis) We were looking at the Monika apts but I read somewhere that they had taken out the pool and it was a big muddy hole in the complex i just wanted to know if anyone knows what its like recently, we wont be going until August but are trying to book now, And what are the Apts like?? Heard somewhere that they smell and theyre dirty?

So was just checking out the Alexis Apartments anyone been there?? Can u give me any clues as to what its like??

Ive read a lot about the resort in General and it sounds like a really great place I just dont want it dampened by poor accomadation.  I know in Greece apartments are basic but i would like them to be clean!

Any Help or Opinions you can offer would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! x

HI Kelly, and welcome to the CTG,

I haven't actually stayed in Sidari, but many people say it is lovely, I have run a search of the site on your behalf on you choices of accomodation, check out some of the previous comments on Monika here: http://www.agni.gr/message_boards/search.asp?search=monika+&searchMode=allwords&searchIn=Thread&forum=0&searchSort=dateDESC&Submit=Start+Search

and Alexis here: http://www.agni.gr/message_boards/search.asp?search=alexis&searchMode=allwords&searchIn=Thread&forum=0&searchSort=dateDESC&Submit=Start+Search

you could also visit this site for more reviews on your choices http://www.justcorfu.co.uk/

Hope this is some help to you, I am sure you will have a lovely time

Dean

yes. he saw this post lol.we were there in june and i was really pleased with these apartments. firstly, they are perfectly situated. close enough to everywhere central (i.e. 3 mins walk to beach, shops, bars etc), but far enough away to get some sleep.lol. the road nearby is pretty busy though so if you have kids beware, but we had 2 toddlers and found no problems. the accomodation itself was lovely and clean. a 2 bed apartment is very spacious, smelled nice, looked nice( we had 3 balconies lol )and was tastefully if minimally decorated and furnished. the staff are fantastic. Kostas runs the place and he loves kids and makes such a fuss. he was giving all the kids free pool tokens etc and on his birthday he bought everyone else a drink!! the bar was very reasonably priced and the food was lovely. i had to have a brekky every morning, which cost about £3, before my morning dip just outside in the lush pool, where i never looked at any topless women.and we usually came back for dinner or a snack just because we knew and trusted the place. there is a supermarket about 80yds away, a five-a-side court next door (phew, too hot for that) and towards the beach, which is one straight road of about 150yds,a mcdonalds if you like that. dont look left though, cos you'll see the donkey and the horrible old man. and that isn't a nice thing to see. as most people on this site will tell you.i will be going back to sidari as soon as i can, and i am sure i will pick either sidari village complex, which my friend frantoniamama highly recommends or alexis pool. have no worries, your going to sidari.lol

Hi Kelly,

Glad you found our advice useful, I also thought the Alexis looked the better option, but its wasn't up to me to pass comment. Now this has been backed up by pianoman, (bet he did take a peek at those topless ladies!

I am sure you will have a great time, don't forget to tell us all about it when you get back, so others will know if its a good place to stay,

Enjoy!!

Dean

PS Don't forget a carrot or two for the donkey!!

Thank you so much for your help and advice on this im really looking forward to going now and not at all worried! Thanks to you Pianoman and the rest!

My countdown is on 28 days and i'll be there!  Only thing im a little worried about is the heat! Heard it can get into the 40s early august

And dont worry i will let you know how I found it, so i know its been ages since i posted here but....got any suggestions for places to eat/drink.  Its so nice that theres a mcdonalds there but think i'll be giving that one a miss!   Maybe try somewhere different, i like to try and be adventurous but am a fussy eater!! If that makes any sense!

Well i look forward to hearing from you again, where are any of you off to this summer?

Kelly
