What can I say, just got back from our first visit to corfu, both myself and dionne are completly blown away by it. We stayed in sidari, but hired a car and visited other areas on odd days we were only there for a week but are returning in may next year so we have made a few notes of places we can visit and spend more time there, we are there for 2 weeks then.

We both found sidari to be an ideal holiday place for us, sun for "D" and bars for me, the people, the food, and everything else was fantastic, I know its the end of the season and a few places were closed but we still had a great time, met some great people, and look forward to meeting many more in the future.

I would just like to thank all CTG members who offer information and tips on visiting corfu through their various posts, as a first time visitor you all really helped Dionne and myself have a great holiday. THANKS ALL!

WE got back on FRI night after an absolutley ace week in SIDARI.

The only downside was that all 3 of us had a slight 24hr bug Sun and Mon.

arrived in Corfu at 12.30 local and were in appts by 14.15 excellent passage thro the airport.

we had intended travelling around the island abit but the bug stopped us in our tracks a little. never mind we stayed around Sidari and still had a great week.

We spent most nights in the local haunts in town but my favs are MIKEYS INN and B E D BAR great people and great hosts. our best meal of the week was on Canal d'Amour in the ROSE GARDEN. Superb food. the highlight of the week was SEZLOUS' birthday in MIKEYS INN and B E D .

all in all a brilliant week have booked another two weeks on 18thMAY 2007 anyone care to join us . WE will be staying at HAROULA APPTS again as they too are brilliant hosts...

We had our first trip to Corfu in October and had our breath taken away, just like you did.

Would love to visit in May but piggy bank says it won't be full till October,so will have to wait at little longer.

Yes you will always have a good time in Sidari as I do all the time. Sorry to here that you got the 24hr bug, but I bet that it did not spoil your holiday. The unfortunate thing that bug had been going round Corfu all this season,as it hit a few of my friends in June and October.

Hi Stu and Dionne - am so glad to hear you had a great holiday in Sidari and have booked to go back next year. It seems you have already joined our band of Sidari groupies. After 15 yrs (and about 20 visits) I accept I must go back at least once each year.

I think I read on another post that you're going to stay at Aphrodite next year - our friend Yiannis on the bar in the evenings will look after you really well. As it's the first year of independent bookings for them I'll be interested to hear how you like it there as I may stay there myself in Sept - being in the centre saves the walk home!

well we all have the sidari bug now...lol got back booked already just cant keep away...love the place and everything about it.This time off 2 weeks and 1 week of relaxing 1 week of trips .Hope someone is off when we go so this time can meet up....
