Hi All,
Just booked for Angelinas in Canal d Amour, going 16th to 30th May from Doncaster, anyone else going?
We came back from Corfu just a couple of weeks ago, stayed in St Georges South, lovely place, super people but it wasn't Sidari!! We actually drove up to Sidari in the pouring rain, took an hour & a half but just couldn't be on the Island without my Sidari fix.
Roll on next year,

I'm back in Sidari, first 2 weeks of August next year. Just myself and husband, as mum taking kids away somewhere, so looking forward to that and don't mean that in a nasty way!!!! We are staying at Takis II apartments (got really good deal with Olympic), up the road near Mythos and Family restaurant, not far from Three Pigs restaurant. Never stayed at Angelina's, but have had few drinks there over the years and looks a lovely place. As you say Pat, roll on next year and Mrs Mushypea, whereabouts are the apartments you stay in?

Hi Jundas our apartments are right on the corner of Canal d Amour just over the Loxides bridge if you walk past Three Pigs as though you are heading to Peroulades past Fagins and Vlasseros travel etc It's just over the bridge right next door to Marias.

Mrs M...know the apartments. We normally stay at Loxides Apartments (last 3 years) but as said earlier, got really good deal for Takis II next year. Do you ever go to Maria's??? Great location right on beach, staff really nice and was first ever restaurant I visited on first trip and had a 3 year romance with waiter called Spiros whose still there, now married with 2 kids as I am. It's so nice, because we still still meet up and have all become friends and kids play together etc. A bit off the wall, but it works for us...love Sidari and Corfu x

Hi Jundas we have actually stayed at the Marias quite a few years ago and also know Spiros also Yiannis and his son too who used to dance in the restaurant.

Hi Mrs Mushypea, ah yes,the infamous Yiannis. Lovely man (abit of a charmer and an eye for the ladies!). A fab dancer though as is his son. They have their own bar now by crazy crossroads called 'Cocktails and Dreams' right on corner opposite where Macdonalds used to be. Went there for a drink this August and didn't get home til 4am. Might be why I ended up in hospital for 4 days!! Hope they're still there next year. They dance together every night which is great to watch. He's always wanted his own place, so hope it works out. His son has turned into a lovely young man also...

Yes thems the boys Jundas, Yiannis the charmer lol!! A really nice guy though and his son is a love too. He became good friends with my youngest son when he was working out there.

Is that the same Maria's apartments whose owner is Maria the mother of Angelina where we are staying? Always used to eat at Angelinas when we were staying at the Olga studios up the track right opposite the Angelinas restaurant.
With this snow fall here May seems an awful long way away.

Hi Pat, not 100% sure, but if you mean Maria from Marias apartments on the beach at start of Canal d'amour then think it is. There's another Marias apartments a bit further up road going into Peroulades but never been there. The Maria I know is very smart, married to Spiros and have a son also Spiros who often does the quizzes at Marias on beach. She doesn't say much but is always around seeing what's going on, quite a formidable lady. Doesn't take rubbish from anyone. Passed Angelinas often and they look nice, but never been in them. Hope you have a fab holiday. I'm not going till next August, so ages yet to wait. No snow down this way yet (Berkshire) but meant to be coming, just icy here. Take care Julie...

Yes it is Maria's on the beach & she is just as you describe but a lovely person too, her daughter Angelina is a super person, nothing to much trouble, she has stunning looks, in fact is a former Miss Greece.
Yet more snow here today & more to come if we believe the forecasters!!

Just had a look myself on-line with 1st Choice and whilst Angelina's is advertised there, you can't book up for it, so looks like people may have to book up independantly [www.angelinahotel.com]. Seems a lot of apartments are going this way now. Angelina's are offering 10% off holiday price, if you book direct with them at the moment...

Well how strange about Angelina'a as I have my booking confirmation in front of me now from First Choice but as you say you can't book on line, I too wonder why.
Will ring Co-op Travel up tomorrow to see whats going on, usually book online but Co-op had a good deal on when we booked in October.
Hope we are not going to be messed about by First Choice, will keep you posted.

Its me again,further to my message yesterday re Angelinas & First Choice.
I rang Co-Op travel this morning who in turn rang First Choice. The situation at the moment is that First Choice are waiting to sign new contracts with Angelinas & right at this moment in time our booking with them will go through but it will be another couple of months before First Choice know. It may be that Angelinas don't want to be tied to First Choice.

Hi All,
Re Angelinas & First Choice, I now have an update.
Co-op Rang me today to say First Choice are definitely not going to Angelinas this year.
First Choice have booked us into Socrates, same date, airport etc, its £220 more but First Choice are letting us have it for same price as Angelinas, we have accepted this, the other option was to cancel & get a free refund, that was never an option.
Does anyone know which end of Sidari Socrates is? Looks from brochure like its on a beach, hoping its same end as Angelinas, any help gratefully received. Thanks Pat xx

Pat if you look in my photos you will see a photo of Socrates, its the one to the front, next to it is Kanali, behind it is Olgas and in the distance Zafiris. Not stayed there but have never heard anything bad about it.

You will love Socrates, brilliant view from all rooms and Socrates is great, he loves to have a drink with you in the evenings. His restaurant The Rock is lovely, great food and you get a small discount if you are a guest there. Greek night is a must - lots of fun and nice food. Lots of return guests year after year.

Had a look on Socrates web site earlier on & can well imagine the repeat visitors, looking at the photo's of his guests they all look extremely happy & contented, looking forward to going now & we can still pop in Angelinas for the odd meal or two,

Yes you will really enjoy the location of Socrates, in a prime position with lovely views over to Albania and the Canal d Amour and yes you are not far from Angelinas or Marias on the beach.
