I have an apartment in Corfu which I don't yet live in full time so watch Greek TV. I have made enquiries re Sky and apparently I need at least a 2m dish as the footprint is too small - this is not a viable option in an apartment block plus its pricey.
My sister has just moved to a new apartment in S. of France and cannot get Sky as they can't run the cables down the shaft but she now has freeview via the laptop with a cable to connect to the TV is this possible in Corfu?

Having just sorted out getting a new freeview card from Sky - which seemed to stop my getting the numerous messages that I was imminently going to lose access to various channels (the 5 range, Sky 3 and Sky News in particular), I'm surprised to read that I can get these on a standard freeview box - would this be a Greek one or UK?
Also, as others are asking, what size dish would I need? Apparently a move in beam last year has precluded the use of a dish smaller than at least 2.4m from picking up channels like ITV and 4, (which I used to get on my 1.2m dish) and BBC has always been beyond my reach!
If there's a legitimate way of picking these channels up other than via the internet (which is better than nothing, but not perfect)and without a huge dish I know of quite a few people who'd love to know about it.
Many thanks.
