Hi to the technical team...MrM here from Windermere I have a couple of questions which I hope won't make me look silly! How can I change my personal profile so that I can put my location as "Windermere"...I have tried by following the links through the Profile icon instructions but it doesn't appear to work.(most likely I've not done something correctly) And..how can I organise any mail that I send to automatically have a little "profound ditty" at the end which (and your're not allowed to laugh!) would read "Live long and prosper" I hope I'm not wasting your time with these requests, but I really have enjoyed becoming part of the Agni Travel forum, and me and she who must be obeyed can barely wait to be in Kalami. Well, thanks in anticipation of some help...

I will ask Trace to deal with your location for you.
As for the "ditty" that would go in your signature. If you click on the link to your profile at the top of the page you will find that you can add a signature from there.

I've just checked my profile icon where I can reset my password, email and location. There is a default dropdown list that gives you the option to change location but windermere is not on that list. I PM'ed one of the admin team and they put 'Edinburgh, Scotland' into my location. Also in answer to your 2nd question my profile gives me the option to add a forum signeture.
I may be wrong in saying this here and perhaps the admin team might correct me, but the options you can change on your profile may depend on the amount of stars you have which is detemined by the amount of posts you have put on the site.

Hi Steven, it makes no differance as to stars you have as to what you can change in your profile. Only Trace can give you a location which is not on the dropdown list.

What are you trying to change? If it is your signature there seems to be a problem with them if they contain links. Several of us have been unable to put in a link at all, it ens up looking like yours.
I have mentioned it to Nathan but he is quite busy so it may take a while to be fixed.

Hi to the technical team and all the good folk who helped me with my request for help with cahanging my profile...all appears to be well now. And hello also to Tink, I know Ings quite well, or at least the Watermill pub (great pub grub!) My wife and I have been for a walk around Windermere this morning, it's trying hard to snow, it just made us look forward all the more to Kalami at the end of July and into August.
