Hi Folks ,

Well , after nearly 10months of waiting for a land line and Adsl we have today finally been broadbanded..... something so easy and simple to get hold of in the UK ......a positive nightmare out here .

My eternal thanks and xxxxxxx's to Olga [ OTE's service rep in Skripero ]

We can now communicate with friends back in the UK and even send them pictures without sitting all night in front of the screen to make sure they had been ' sent ' on the diallup .

Lifes simple pleasures.....lol....

Another star for Olga - she's the only OTE person I've ever known who actually cares for her customers.

I keep meaning to see her, to see if they've upgraded the exchange to 8mb - what speed did you get?

Orchard I hope you can help me

I am the highlander and some how I could not get back

on to the forum I did not even get listed on Members

on line So I tried re-registering but I registered as

HIGHLANDER and not as THE HIGHLANDER

I sent a E-mail to Nathan and got a reply from

HAZEL telling me what I had done wrong on a

P M I do not know how to reply to her E-MAIL

So I wondered if you would be so kind as to

help me with a reply to HAZEL

Being a HIGHLANDER I'm not too bright

I know I owe you for past help

Oh Yes... I have completed the 'lettering', and started outlining the fish for you. I think one is going to be green, the other blue. No-one else will have a clue what we're on about, will they!

Hi J & H, Its not just Corfu we had to wait 11 months for BT to do ours because we live in a rural community we had to go door knocking people in surrounding hamlets and villages to sign up for broadband ourselves, we had to have 800 signatures before they acted. They then hold you to ransom for a years contract, we pay for 2MG but at most only receive 512kbs, the excuse is we are too far away from the exchange. They keep sending us info to upgrade to 8MG and pay more, needless to say we haven't taken them up on their offer.
