Does anyone know where I can buy a Baglamas (it is a small bouzouki)
I know of one music shop in Corfu town, but they only seem to sell electric guitars, not traditional instruments.

I know someone who makes traditional instruments but he is in Karpathos- will contact him and ask him if you are interested, but he does regard them rather as his children and can hardly bear to part with any of them.

Thanks Jan
I would be interested in a quality instrument for myself, however I am currently looking for one for a greek child. Could get dropped as you can imagine

The music shop that is on the street above the currently disused market- passed it the other day and they seemed to have lots of classical guitars etc. there, so they could probably help you.
Sorry directions are so poor. Head up the slope from San Rocco by the police station. Turn left along that road until you reach another road going right on up the slope. You come out at the top so you are facing the back wall of the new fortress. Then turn right along this road (so the market buiodings are below you on your left) and the shop is on your right.

I know that one Jan, I've bought a couple of instruments there in the past myself.
Bob.
