Jeremy,
I think that you have made a lot of site members happy that any assistance they have given you has made your dream come true. As we say in Norfolk, " Look after yourself my man." Please an update as and when you move. If it is to be Kentroma, you will always be available to keep Nathan's camera trained on the jetty. Best wishes from an jealous site member.
Yammas, Colin.

Great news for you and yours Jeremy. Here's wishing you all the very best.
Just out of interest [and I hope this doesn't sound too rude...it's not meant to be] - are you moving to Corfu permanantly and if so, what do you have in mind for income?

Many thanks for all you good wishes and questions!
Right now we have got the site and we proceed to the full planning, as this will not come through befor the season start and we don't want to ruin everyone's holiday we will not be able to start building untill October or later.
Where we go from there we are not sure, we are hoping to use the property as a second home as we have an Architects Practice here in the UK which given Broadband would allow us to continue to do that "Taking turns" to be in Corfu, and In the UK looking after the Kids (12 &14). I think we may surcomb to renting June/July/August or somthing, not realy sure yet, just knew that we had to bite the bullet our else you end up doing nothing.
In the meantime I have been building up a "pension" income from the UK to fund full time living, won't be where I am now but hope to reduce costs in Corfu over the UK and am planning a low carbon build (no bills!) property and see how we go..

WOO HOO!!! Well done to you both, you got there!!! I remember the excitement when we stood on our plot of land, looked out at the sea and pinched each other because we couldn't believe we finally own a piece of corfu.
It is a magical island that so many people fall in love with, and I hope you spend many many happy years enjoying it.

In our village we have now got 6 houses owned by English, 2 owned by Germans and 1 owned by a French couple and everyone gets along fine, so I am sure you would be made more than welcome. There are also a couple of homes owned by Americans who's parents came from the village. We have a few language problems but always manage to get by with a little arm waving.

I wish you all the very best Jeremy ! and thank you for the pictures. remember there's enough experience on this website to help guide you through all the pit-stops! Anything I can do just let me know...anytime I over in Corfu. I will automatically send pictures of your place like we all do for one another
John & Hilary, I am looking so forward in seeing your place since the last time i was over ...you'll be settled in by the time I get over so get the tea on for me. I been looking at small boats at the moment don't know what the prices are over in Corfu but would imagine they would be more expensive there then the UK?
