The only airline that has direct flights in April is Easyjet and I can only find a flight on the 21st April which is extortionate I am afraid.

Good luck!

You can fly Easyjet to Athens then fly to Corfu with Aegean Air or Olympic.

It will be quite difficult getting to Corfu on these dates as it is Greek easter and flights are nearly all full. I had a look on the Minoan website about a month ago and there were no reclining seats available for any sailing from Venice in the week before easter.

Many of the ferries and flights will be fully booked up. It is one of the most popular times to travel and things get chaotic. The 25th is Good Friday.

I think I have made a mistake by booking to go over next week ie 21 April.
Will any of the shops be open to shop for furniture and electrical items ?

I think they close earlier on Good Friday, then closed on Saturday and Sunday. Most of the big shops and banks will also be closed on the Monday.

Could be a big mistake. The first time we ever did this we did it at Greek easter and to tell you the truth it was pretty much a waste of time. The shops shut on Thursday and then don't open again until Tuesday. Add this to the problem of non tourist shops only opening three evenings a week anyway and it dosn't give you much time to shop around. I also found that few people could deliver in those couple of weeks and many where very low on stock as everyone is buying new things for their houses, appartments etc., for the start of the season.

Hi Graham and all. I travel often with Minoan because I live in Venice. If you check now, there is still plenty of space both in 23th and 25th of April. I noticed that, specially in low season, if you check months before the day you are interested in, easily you will find yellow square (limited availability). But if you check one or two weeks earlier of the day you want to leave, you can see the real situation of the boat and, nearly always, you will find green square (available). The prices of the boat change just with the season, doesn't matter if you book them one day or two months before. So, except for July and August it worth to check and book few weeks before to leave.
I will leave on Friday and I have booked today :)
Bye Mercoledì
