I would like to know what is the best time of the year to visit Greece? What are some hotels I could stay at with pretty good rates and comfort? if anyone can send me info at HoboKelly2007(at)wikichat.com I'd really appreciate.

it depends on what you want, in july and August its very very hot, may and june are hot but not as much better for walking around, there is a slight chance of rain, we allso like going in October again its very warm but with more chance of rain, we have been in October and had hot weather with no rain at all and then gone and had rain but mostly at night, also late October some places shut down ready for the end of season, then you are best going for something like Roda or Sadari, allways open to the last day hope this helps you

It all really depends on what you want to do when you are there, if its just lazing and chilling out, then June, July August (if you can take the heat!)
If you want to get active, exploring and walking then May and September. We have never been to Greece in August, too expensive, too hot, but we have done the other months including early October and never ever had a bad time, a little rain, a little cloud maybe but its whatever you want. This year we had to forego our usual week in June for September, so it will be a pashmina for the evening, never used in June lol and a little heavier on the mozzie protection perhaps......and perhaps a small umbrella, well, you never know.....
Upside, we intend, no really, to actually have a bit more of an explore, maybe get up into the hills around AG this time, but then , you never know .....

I love to visit the island in September, the sea is wonderful and warm, the island is a lot more sedate and tavernas a little less crowded (more time to chat over a long lunch with the locals!!)
I have also visited in June/July but found it too hot and humid and too many mozzies!!!
