Hi everyone,

In 30 days (wooeeehooeee!!!) i'll be going to the lovely island again. This time i'll be going with my mother who has never been, but really wanted to see what my husband and i are soooo excited about.

What would you suggest is the one thing she just has to see!

Helen

Hi Helen, The one thing that excites me is the view from the top of Mount Pantorkractor you can see all over Corfu on a clear day and some times as far as Italy which is about 80 miles away to the north..I sure your Mother would love it as well.

Try this page it gives you a 360 degree view

Hi Helen..

I don´t know your mother´s age.. but if she can´t climb the Pantorkractor, you culd drive up the road from Paleo to enyoy the view!

Also a cartrip up north from Corfu town to Kassiopi is very nice.

Also the sunset from Kaiser´s throne in Pelekas!

And lunch at the Liston looking at all the people going by..

And Mon Repos...

And, and, and... somebody stop me!!  I could go on for ever... 30 days to go!

Well there are so many spectacular views and bays that she will be able to feast her eyes all the time.  If she likes a little culture and shopping I suggest Corfu Town and the Liston (especially in the evening for the atmosphere) perhaps a boat trip there, depending on where you are staying. I also love the Achilleon Palace - the views from the garden terraces are breathtaking too. I'm sure she will be captivated by Corfu whatever she sees!

Thank you all for your suggestions! Bruce hope you're doing well after the bad week you've had!

And Milla is that your dog? Used to have a black deen myself. It looks like we will be going at the same time, maybe bumping into you. Where are you going?

No  this time she´ll stay at home..

We always go to Pelekas - funny how everyone always seems to have a favorite place..

But we´ll be bringing our daugther, she is 13 month today - and the two of them for 4 weeks in a small appartment would be too much..
