Dear All!
I'm planning to take my Lady to Corfu in the last week of September for a quick (7 days) romantic holiday. Just to let you know that we are both in mid 30's. I would appreciate any suggestion as to the nice, cosy hotels or any other accommodation with the sea view rooms only, easy access to the beaches and the one where you can enjoy good traditional food. I'm thinking about booking a holiday through the on line travel agency (i.e. Thomas Cook) or maybe you know better way of organizing a holiday there. Can you please recommend the one which gives reasonably good deals to one of the resorts there which suits my requirements?
I've looked to a few websites but it's hard to tell or choose the place which will suit us best as I have not any knowledge or experience with the place.
I do appreciate any help and want to thank you very much in advance.
Best regards,
Bart

I would have a look at some villas. I think you may be able to get a really good deal at that time of year. there are some stunning places around with lovely views. At least you won't have to worry about noisy people etc and can make your stay as romantic as you wish!
Good luck

Did see a fab place on one of the posts in the week - try googling Retsia - it's in Archaravi in the north coast!!!!!!!!! Very romantic. However, if you want a more traditional Corfiot place, try Agios Gordios on the west coast, I have just looked at the Corfu 360 Images post on here and if you look at Dina's Paradise within the list of 360 views, the views are to die for, also the sunsets in Agios Gordios are very romantic)! Do I detect some jewellery needed on this holiday - if so, the jewellery shops in Corfu town are fab! Enjoy!

Hi Bart,
Why not check out some of the beautiful properties on this site. Just click on the Agni Travel brochure at the top left hand side of the page (just under the Corfu WebCam). Happy hunting.

Why not go to Kalami! You can walk down to beach, good food at three very good tavernas, a selection of accommodation. Some lovely walks, in fact all you will need for a romantic holiday!

Or Arillas, on the west coast. Dining at the Portofino and watching the sunset is so romantic. The beach is good and there are so many walks.
Your Lady, I'm sure, would be impressed.

We had our most romantic holiday in the Levant Hotel in Pelekas.
Beautiful views and lovely rooms overlooking the west coast on one side and distant views of the east coast and Corfu town on the other.
The village has at least 4 tavernas and 2 bars-very eclectic mix of modern and traditional with a laid back chill out feel.
Free buses to the beaches or walk down(abour 1.5km) the hotel has a pool and lovely terrace area.
Get an easyjet flight and then take a taxi from airport (should cost around 25 euro) ask to be taken to the Levant Hotele Pelekas at the kaisers throne.
The hotel is next to the viewpoint of the kaisers throne so the views of all the island are amazing!!
We had our honeymoon there but split it between Corfu town and Peleaks for the best of both worlds-bliss
and just e-mail them they reply within a couple of days.

Where ever you stay, you should take a evening trip to Corfu town, enjoy walking through the old cobble streets and enjoy a romantic drink on the water front and watch the world go by.

I second Delfino Blu - also checked this one out for a romantic pre-anniversary break for 2010 (never been to San Stefanos before) - don't think it can be beat - also been voted most romantic hotel in Corfu. Worth checking out
