Hi can anyone tell me if you can catch a ferry from Lefkimi to Igoumenitsa, Im looking to go in Sept. 09.and if you can are you able to leave your hire car at the port and pick one up on the mainland or can you take your hire car across, any advice would be welcome.
    Thanks Lorac.

You can get a ferry from Lekimmi, you need to check with your car hire to see if you can take the car on the ferry

Hi,
There is a regular service from Lefkimmi to Igoumenitsa (there are two boats that operate)and they are fairly "frequent". The timetable is available at the port itself although many tourist agencies will probably know the times as well.

As for taking the car across, as other posts say, most hire companies will allow you to take your car across but do tell them that is what you want to do before you book. If they give you a story that you are "not covered" then simply go with another company!

Good Luck
