24 hours ago I was in Corfu I am now home and wondered what it is that others miss on their return? For me, apart from the wonderful smell of garlic, herbs and the great sauces that accompany many meals; its the bread. Plain bread in a basket - bread and butter, garlic bread, bread with sesame seeds, burnt crusts, soft crusts. Mmmm I am already having withdrawal symptoms!!!!!

I know how you feel. I arrived home yesterday & consoled myself by drinking most of the duty-free Metaxa!

I have already been on all the travel sites & there's some great bargains to be had - so maybe I can go back earlier than planned.

In the meantime there's the Metaxa to finish.

We also came home yesterday and I'm on a real downer now. I've got 3 suitcases of washing to do and its been raining ever since we got back.

I can't apply myself to anything because I just want to be back in Corfu and I am really envious of everyone who has still got their holiday to come.

The weather in Corfu was getting better by the day when we left and the people arriving yesterday are in for lots of lovely sunshine .

I don't know how I'm going to cope until my next visit which might not be until next year

I found the lauderette last yeat.Didnt come home to washing and that was cool.

My hubby does not love Corfu like I do so next year we may not go at all.

I have to be reasonable he has gone for the last 5 years so after this time I may have to have time out.It will be hard for me,I have gone there for the last 15 years.

But only one year away that is definite.

Roll on 16/06 ...2 weeks cannot wait

I am also missing the greek sunshine, the greek people, the swimming pools, basically all that Corfu has to offer not just the bread. Hey I need another holiday lol

Hi, If your husband isn't as in love with Corfu as you are, maybe you could combine Corfu with somewhere else another time? We have visited Athens + Corfu, Pelopponese + Corfu, Rome + Corfu, Ioannina and Metsovo + Corfu and Venice + Corfu! Obviously there is a trend here but a few days somewhere new is enough to keep my husband happy and then we relax... in Corfu!

Maggie 3 - it is not that long to wait. Enjoy because for me the waiting is so exciting then the day you fly is the best because from then on it is countdown to returning home but hey the memories are great and then its check flights for good deals for the next one
