hi everyone, we have actually decided now, we are def going to corfu the last 2 weeks in september can anyone reccomend somewhere thats child friendly but not too much and whats the weather like -what temperatures can we expect and someone once told me that wasps can be a problem thanks coopergang

The whole Island is child friendly. Greeks love children and they will make much fuss of your child in tavernas.
Where you depends on how old your child is and what you want from your holiday, i.e. busy, quiet, nice beach etc. If you give some more information I'm sure you will get a reply re the best resorts for you.
Weather.......mid 80s average. Maybe odd shower. Wasps are about usually near vines so unless you are eating under a grape laden pergoda they wont be a problem. You will need mosquito repellent though.

You might find that your child(ren) are given gifts quite spontaneously, my daughter certainly was in her charming pre-school days.
The September weather is still very warm by day but cool in the evening.
The biggest worry will be mosquitoes. Go well prepared with anti-mossie sprays, creams, roll-ons, plug-in repellents etc, also available locally in mini-markets.
Wasps will appear from time to time, but they aren't in the same league as mosquitoes.

I've not had a problem with the wasps for a couple of years...there seemed to be fewer about. However I've seen people stung and it's not pleasant...avoid garden settings for lunch etc and be aware and you won't have a problem.
Mozzies are a pest- take precautions. I usually use the products that are in the supermarket in resort as I find they help.
Weather glorious...the odd shower-just an excuse for a long lunch! Obviously the days are shorter and the evenings a bit cooler but still ok for our summer dresses. I love September in Corfu...have a great time.

We're out at the end of September too coopergang, so hopefully the weather is fabulous for us all (we aren't always so lucky, but even the odd shower can't dampen Corfu holiday spirits!)
