I've been looking at prices for October. I've been amazed at some of the outlandish prices. One of them took over 24 hours from Birmingham, which was via Frankfurt (think). I think it also must have called at Moscow, Kiev and Athens. Not bad for £2500!!!!!

Makes you wonder who programmed the computer dose'nt it.
Perhaps they are of the flat earth inclination, and the join happens to be between France and the UK . So the route to Corfu is via the States etc;
Bob.

BA have offers in October from Gatwick, for instance on 15th for a week the return fare including all taxes etc. is £63 per person. I'm not sure when the offer ends so act fast.

I flew over here at the end of October (29th) last year (escaping the UK!!), my ticket was £19 only. It was the last flight of the season, flying over just to pick up holiday makers returning home. The plane was about half empty.
The following day (30th), my dog, Ben, flew over at a cost of around £500!!. His flight was totally empty, except for the crew...

Just checked the flights from Norwich departing 21st August (when we leave) and the flights alone for 2 adults are £557.96 (£240.74 + £38.24 taxes - each)
Going by those prices I booked our holiday for £708 (flights, accommodation for 2 weeks) so I think I've done well considering its peak season when we travel.
Roll on 21st August - off to Agios Georgios (N) yyyyyeeeeeeeeeeehhhhh

Slightly off topic but to put it in perspective, I have been looking at scheduled flights to Hong Kong in December and they are coming out at £357.83 return for 14 days.
This shows that there is no relationship between flight distance and cost, it is all based on supply & demand and where the tour operators want to send people.
As regards cheap Corfu flights, I paid about £30 for a one way flight near the end of season with about 30 other passengers on a 220 seater.

Totally agree, have just booked return flights from Edinburgh to New York for myself and my daughter, #325 (sorry pound sign not working) each and that is for direct flights. The whole thing with flight prices is crazy!
