I would like to know why I was kicked out of the chat room tonight and when I tried to get back in again it says I was banned! Everyone else that was in there are still chatting so there is no problem with server.

I know its ok as everyone was still in there when I got kicked off. Cindy spoke to seaangler who says I would be able to get back in. But with no success. It just seems strange that ive been a member on this site for more than 2 years and been banned for no reason

I've just come onto the site tonight and I'm aware of no reason why you appear to be banned from the chat room (I'll admit I'm not well versed on the running of the chatroom though).

Perhaps theres another problem.

Thanx,everyone that was on chat the same time as me were still on for some time after I was kicked out so I dont think its a technical problem

I have tried several times but I am still banned, I wasnt even being rude

Hi Angela,

I have been reading my emails and found your topic on reasons for ban from Chat Room. I have looked at various systems, and cannot at this time find any reasons as to why. I usually email Nathan on site matters before shutting down, I will bring this to his attention for you.

I will also continue to check the files etc to see if there is anything in them for the problem.

It's really strange isn't it. I'm pretty sure that we dont even have a way if banning anyone from the chat room. All we can do is reduce your stars so you can't post but as you see you have all them still, As we don't know a way to ban you I don't know a way to un-ban you either.

Hi Angela,

Chat room admin (blue names) have the ability to kick from room, kick and disable (not sure what that bit means!) or BAN. My guess is that one of the "blue" chatters has accidentally hit the ban button after right clicking on your name in the list in the chat room(you use the same process to PM etc). I know this doesn't help much, as I am not sure how to rectify it (I think maybe only Nathan can sort it out) but just thought I would point it out that you very probably haven't been banned on purpose, and I am sure you will be welcomed back as soon as Nathan gets round to it.

Hi ya .as to the above post i have also p.m.ed Nathan has to what happed... The only thing i done last night was to give Keven back his privileges back to him that he ask me to do for him....Yes you are right dean we do have the power to banned Any one from the chat room......And i have done this all ready to two people and i have informed Keven on doing so and to Nathan on two accations for using prerogative stuff in the chat room.....And last night we wear having a good laugh until it was over shadowed to the banding of angela...I do hope that this will get sorted out once and for all. and i do hope it was not me that pressed the wrong button if it was my fault(which i dont think so)...... but if it was i will apologize most perfoundley..... as we have such a good chat and laugh together me and Angela and in no way i would do such a thing to her.....I do you hope you will all under stand until we can get this sorted out.....yours fathfully......chris

So the truth is out. Our Chris was pressing buttons when it happened and we all know how good he is at pressing the right buttons.

Chris was in there redecorating and shifting the furniture around yesterday. I'm sure it was all an innocent mistake. I did hear that he buys all those people that are mistakenly banned a cheese pie and a Mythos

Just Kidding Chris. We know how hard it is to look after the chat room and we all appreciate what you do. We also all know what finniky arkward things PCs are. Mine seems to have a mind of it's own at the moment. I pressed the edit button on a post and it took me into the posters profile. I think that sometimes there are little corruptions on the telephone line which cause these things to happen.

So long as Angela is now re-assured that this wasn't a deliberate act and will be sorted as quickly as possible then I am sure all will be happy.
