I was looking at the Corfu Country and Long Distance (Green) Buses time table and noticed that the Pyrgi-Ipsos line is not defined for Sunday, does this mean that it runs on the daily timetable or that it doesn't run on Sundays? Thank you for your answers.
Best Regards,
Miha

Even if the Ipsos bus is not running on Sundays (which it will be in season) the Nissaki bus, and the Kassiopi bus both go through Ipsos and stop there.
Also it is only a short walk from the end of the local Dassia bus

Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd ressurect this one as the subject matter is pretty much the same!
I heard a 'horror story' today when chatting with a gentleman who had just arrived in Acharavi. He and his wife had gone to the reps meeting, had been told that buses don't run between Acharavi and Corfu during the winter and that she was unsure whether the summer timetable had commenced yet!! She went on to quote 60€ as being the cost of a taxi between the two destinations. It would seem likely this was may have been lack of knowledge on the reps part, but possibly also a ploy to sell overpriced excursions.
Please be assured if coming to Corfu on holiday in the next few weeks that there ARE regular bus services (they run all year) between the main resorts and Corfu Town throughout the day, and that the independent travel agencies that can be found all over the island can also book coaches for you to and from the Town, for morning and evening trips, for just a few euros a head. (Eg, Acharavi to Corfu return is around 7€). Do be sure to check the timetables though that are clearly displayed at bus stops and in many reception areas.
If you prefer to go on organised trips don't forget that the independent travel agencies can also organise exactly the same trips of the tour operators offer, but normally for about half the price.

I agree with Bill, we always book with the local tour operators, never the reps. A few years ago when our boys were young teenagers, we priced the trips we wanted with the rep and then purchased them locally, we saved over a hundred pounds.

Does anyone know why there isn't a local bus that runs through the airport en route to the villages and the town? Most airports I have used do this. I know that the taxi drivers might not like this but they don't like short runs either. K.
