Hi all, we ( a family of 2 adults and 2 kiddies) Have booked a last minute holiday to messonghi beach hotel via first choice holidays, its not where we wanted to go, but the price was appealing, and it seemed the best choice (at) the time, is there anyone out there who could put our minds (at) rest and reassure us that it is actually ok Also is it true that it is a shingle beach? as we did request a sandy beach, we live near a beach and its shingle, not nice on your feet lol
many fanx

I can't tell you anything about the hotel, but the beach is sandy and not difficult to walk on. You have the choice of the Moraitika beach or the Messonghi beach, so I'm sure you'll find the area that suits you best. If you look at the resort guide on this site it may give you a bit more information. I've got a couple of photos of Messonghi beach on my gallery.
Its a fantastic area to stay in, and the beach is great for children! I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time !

Glad you like the photos, they are taken with love for the island, hoping to capture the best bits !
The Christina Hotel was great, lovely big rooms with a TV, hairdryer, kettle and fridge. I just opened my door and was straight on to the beach. I also enjoyed talking to the family and practising my Greek. I'll probably be back there in September to explore the area a bit more.
I guess it was a bit quiet in Paleo too then ?

I found the Minore family taverna on my first night and the food was fantastic. They do potatoes cooked in the oven and I've not had them anywhere else I've been in Corfu. It was always busy when most of the other tavernas were empty, and the customers were all people who had been going there for years. Not to be missed I would say!
I'm sure you'll have a great time !!

Just click on the little 'photos' button just above to look at the photo gallery.
Sorry I can't help you with the water park, I've not been there. There is a good map available on this site which is brilliant for finding everything you want. You can find it in the Agni Animal Welfare Shop. Or I'm sure someone else will be able to tell you how to get there. Good luck !
