We had a wonderful five days at Villa Eleni. The atmosphere and environment were totally relaxing and the village of Agios Stephanos provided us a way to experience a slice of the real Greece. We walked down the winding (at times, steep) road to the village at least twice a day...a great workout, but do-able even with a 5 yr old in tow. We ate at a different taverna each nite, visited the coffee shops and got to personally know the owners and shop keepers. If we wanted a special meal prepared, the taverna owner would have it ready the following nite. We got to know Christina, the owner of the small market, and her family and she had two loaves of fresh bread and home made, ice-cream-thick yogurt ready for us each morning. Everything in the village was authentic, unpretentious and warm and friendly. Everyone made us feel like we belonged. The trail that runs along the coast provided magnificent views of the water and Albania. It's a bit spotty at times, but it runs for several miles and can take you down to some lovely beaches. Our grandson loved it. Kassiopi was a 5 minute drive away and offered a bit more in terms of restaurants, shops and other activities. As nice as it was, we were always glad to get back to Agios Stephanos. It as a perfect week. Charles
We had a wonderful holiday in Villa Eleni. The location is perfect and the views to die for. Lots of interesting bays and villages to visit nearby. Villa was very beautiful and nice and we especially liked that cleaning of the house was included into the price so there were no hidden prices to pay at the end of the holiday.
The gardens and swimming pool were private and suitable for little children. The terrace was a nice place for having dinner, while enjoying the views, and if you didn't want to make dinner you could always go to the tavernas in Saint Stephanos below. Lots of good memories and looking forward to visiting again.
