A truely excellent villa within walking distance of Kassiopi which out of season, is a really nice place with excellent restaurants and a beautiful harbour. A car is not needed as there is a perfectly adequate supermarket just round the corner. We were not particulary impressed with Avlaki beach, preferring the coves around Kassiopi. Despite what the Agni literature may infer, it is an hour walk to Stephonos by road (even longer by the coastal path), and although pretty, its probably not worth the effort. We found the restaurants expensive and not as good as those in Kassiopi. Hiring a boat at Kassiopi for the day was a real highlight (far easier than trying to do at Avlaki) and we also enjoyed watching the harbour activity from the Wave Bar. George the owner was incredibly helpful and was able to fix some minor issues (overflowing water pipe, broken boiler) and was sympathetic to our very noisy Saturday night/Sunday morning. Dont't let this put you off; overall we rate the holiday as excellent and would certainly recommend the villa as an undersold gem.

We really enjoyed staying at Villa Apleton, a lovely house, comfortable and very well equipped.
George the owner was most helpful, even moving a water pump we'd said was a bit noisy.
The villa was very conveniently situated, close enough to amenities like shops and beach, yet feeling secluded. It's about a 15 minute walk into Kassiopi. We appreciated the pretty garden, wonderful pool and lots of choice for outdoor eating.
