Lawyer
First, you will need to find a lawyer to conduct the sale. Some of the property agents will offer to do so for you. You may though feel a third-party (your own lawyer) is preferable. Our family lawyer can certainly be recommended by myself and he speaks excellent English. (Details opposite.)
Architect
Second, if you are looking for land to 'build on' then you will need an architect. Even if you buy a complete property, it is still likely that you will plan some changes. Most local architects, will design and then oversee the implementation using trades people of their or your choice. They generally 'charge' between 8-12% for this service. For the swimming pool that we recently built for our villa (Agni Travel's 'Persphone') we used 'Yannis Kakarantzas'. He speaks perfect English, and has designed and overseen many of the holiday villas along the NE Coast. He is also very knowledgeable concerning plots of land and properties for sale. Builder
If you would like to use your own builder to complete the house or make renovations or modifications to an existing one then a local English builder with an excellent record is 'Technik' he also offers a management service for properties during the summer and winter months when the owners are not present.
