Spring
The best time to visit Paxos for a holiday based on interests such as walking, painting, photography or wild flowers is during the months of April and May. The weather is mild to warm, with a clear atmosphere and occasional rain showers - a small price to pay for the beauty and peace of the island at this time. Paxos seems to be coming to life after the winter lull and begins to prepare for its summer visitors.
Summer
June is probably one of the best months to visit Paxos - warm to hot with little or no rain, slightly cooler evenings. There are still wild flowers to see and no crowds. From mid-June to late September days are long and hot, with very warm evenings and little or no rain, though the occasional storm does occur as the heat builds up. Northwest winds blow in the afternoons, bringing the temperature down just enough. The sea is a perfect temperature and the warm evenings a delight for eating out.
Autumn
In October and November, the weather can be very changeable, with sunny days and occasional showers and Paxos starts to slow down as locals prepare for winter. Temperatures can still be in the mid twenties and the sea still warm. Again ideal for sightseeing and walking holidays.
