Hi Fozzer and welcome to the site,

Weather- You haven't stated when you will be arriving, but you can expect it to be mostly warm and sunny from now until september at least! For more info on weather month by month check this link

Corfu Weather

Mosquitoes- Yes there will be mosquitoes i'm afraid, but with some of the good advice on this site you can minimalise the risk of getting eaten alive!! Take a look at this site search for more info

mossies site search

Food and drink- Food and drink in Sidari, and Corfu in general, is plentiful and very good value, I am sure you will soon find a favourite eating place and drinking hole! You can get anything from traditional Greek to Mexican, so the choice is yours!

Day trips- You will find a good selection of day trips in Sidari from Island tours, beach BBQ's, to trips to other Ionian islands, again the choice is yours but remember that the tours offered by your reps at the welcome meeting can mostly be booked cheaper from the local tour operators in resort, so don't rush into booking them as soon as you get there, shop around! This way, as well as saving you money, puts more back into the local economy, so everyones a winner!!

Hope this helps a little, have a great holiday

Dean
