just a quick update booked once again a year ahead and yet again we have hit problems went to fetch the tickets but our tour opertor has fell out with the airline and they have put us on another airline who dont take people with oxygen so now our holiday is cancelled our 4 year old is in tears i just wish there was someway we could stop this happening to anyone else

Alison, I have everything crossed for you for the flights you've found. I REALLY hope it all works out. I know how you're feeling, cos I had to cancel my holiday 3 years ago, just 2 weeks before the holiday. It's horrible.

Hope you get sorted out. Know how you feel to some extent. We had to cancel our holiday in May for medical reasons and booked for September, Thankfully everything is sorted for us and we will get away.
When you have to cancel it really sickens you and we genuinely hope you are all able to get away. Take care.

Hi Alison.
My feelings go out to you, your Mum and Family. I know how much effort you put in last year to get on holiday, and certainly needed it yourself by the time you went.
Now to have this thrown into your face at the last minute virtually is a real bummer. I hope the flights you have, and the travel agents can make your holiday get back on track.
The annoying thing about all this, is YES you could have been left at the check in at the last minute if your Mum had not gone into to pay for her oxygen. Certainly worth looking into Alison.

you spend what seems an eternity saving up and looking so forward to youre holiday only to be kicked in the teeth at the last moment.i tottaly understand how devastating it can be last year iwas due to fly to new york for a week a dream break for me and the mrs . however when we arrived at edinburgh airport for our connecting flight to paris we were told that due to french air traffic strikes our flight was cancelled and we were unable to fly from paris to new york.iwas unable to change to a later flight due to work commitments .i did of course receive a full refund but the devastation we felt at that moment was awfull im a grown man and was reduced to tears in the terminal .so ido so hope you manage to this out and get your much needed holiday in corfu. best wishes stevie.
ps i did manage to get to new york 6 months later and had the most fantastic time

Alison, I don't fully understand your circumstances but have you tried another angle...the power of the Press? Why not ring the biggest (provincial) newspaper in your area and tell them your story? 'Up in the air without oxygen seems a start'. Airlines hate bad press and just a phone call from a journalist may solve your problem.

Gosh, with all the tears, it's a good thing you folks are from England, or at least across The Pond, because in America, workers get NO legally-mandated holiday time AT ALL, EVER. Even the so-called "federal holidays" are not guaranteed to be paid holidays for workers. 34% of workers NEVER get a paid holiday off at all.
Imagine how WE feel, never even getting to the PLANNING stage!
The billionaires just keep getting richer and the little guy's quality of life keeps going down the drain. We are just pack animals to the rich. Oh well, at least we have this wonderful site where we can dream on!

Alison - I cannot tell you how relieved I am to hear that everything is sorted out and that you WILL be going on holiday.
However, this added stress is something that you obviously could have well done without. How dare these companies mess about with people like this.....it's unforgivable.

I have read all the messages and i have taken great comfort from them ,after i wrote on the site that we will be going i telephone Yannis to see if he would get us some oxygen for the airport when my mum gets there Yannis replied in good greek tradition he said no problem so I Hope And Pray Now we are all sorted roll on a week today we should be at the airport now ,dont worry i will be at the internet cafe leaving a message once or twice
