Never been to the Dominoes, but have been past them and they look very nice, they are up the hill going towards Analpysis just before you go into Ipsos.  The main strip in Ipsos is a short walk away and is full of bars, tavernas, clubs, gift shops and supermarkets it will be very lively in August, we have just got back last Monday it was quiet but beginning to liven up towards the end of our second week.  If you fancy it a bit quieter carry on along the main strip until you get to Dinos bar on Pyrgi corner, turn left and this will take you into Pyrgi village where there are more bars, tavernas and fast food places - I'm sure you'll enjoy Ipsos we certainly did but we chose May as we are fortysomethings and like it a bit quieter and not so hot

I came back from the Dominoes yesterday and I'm sure you won't be dissappointed. The owners Effy and Yianni are wonderful and make you feel really at home. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable (as you would expect in Greece), the restaurant is great and really good value for money, and the pool one of the best I've seen in Greece, with a lovely grass banking to lie out on and plenty of sun beds.

Ipsos itself is only 5 minutes walk away down the hill and you'll find as much nightlife as you want there, but try and have a meal in the Yammas restaurent (just a minute walk down the hill from Dominoes) and try Nouf's (the owner) spit roast chicken and pork, fantastic. He's also got the cutest dog in Corfu, called Alfie who was abandonded and taken in by Nouf.

The bar at the Dominoes stays open pretty much as long as you want to stay there really and Yianni is there until the small hours pouring the drinks. There is a small supermarket next door where the prices are reasonable and has just about anything you'd need on holidays. There is also another bar/restaurant called Dream across the road from Dominoes.

All and all it's a great place, run by lovely people who can't do enough to make your holiday a good one, I'm sure you'll have a great time and I know we can't wiat to return. Yianni also has his own website (below) where you'll find more info about the appartments and area. Have a fantastic time. Julie

Hi everyone, I am a novice at this forum stuff so please ignore any bad manners lol.  I am off to the Dominoes apartments in October for a week with 2 friends (we are all 20 somethings).  If anyone can let us know what it should be like at that point of the year. Also I have never seen any pictures of any of the inside of these apartments as none of the brochures or websites seem to have any.  I know to expect basic apartments I am just always nosey.

Look forward to any help or info you might have.

Thanks

Suzanne x x

Suzanne

My partner and I were in a 2 person studio (number 7) which consisted of a room with 2 single beds, small kitchen with breakfast bar and high stools and a shower room. I didn't go in any rooms but from talking to others, a family of 4 had similar facilities but with an additional bedroom, and another family had a bath and shower. The Dominoes has 4 studios above the bar, with the other rooms and appartments being across the road just a few seconds walk from the bar/restaurant/pool area.

I don't know what it will be like in October as this was my first visit (back 3 days ago) but if you go to the Dominoes website (shown above) and email Yianni I'm sure he will give you all the information you need.

If you have any more questions about the apartments or the surrounding area please ask and I'll be only too glad to help.

Julie
