Once again we are counting the days until we go to the thomas bay hotel in san stephanos 20th may for 1 week (40 days to go) we have been going there since 1995 and this will be our 12th visit, it always feels like we are going home, we are always made so welcome by dominic and his family and staff. Our 13th visit will be on the 8th July when we will be staying for 2 weeks.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone again but we understand that george (head waiter) won't be there this year which is a great shame as he is a great guy if anyone know's where he has gone could they please let us know. We also look forward to the many friends we have met over the last 10 years as everyone tends to go back year after year.

we are going to try and post some photo's of the hotel and staff in the photo gallery.

Firstly welcome to the Corfu Travel Guide. Many thanks for your photographs, and your post above. The Thomas Bay looks to be a very nice place to stay. I have moved your photos to the Aghios Stefanos NW gallery section.

We had two wonderful holidays last year at the Athina & are looking forward to seeing everyone again when we go back on 1st July for two weeks. Anyone for a beer in Condor bar!

I think everyone will be upset by George not being there i keep hoping when we go in May he will be back, will keep you posted when we get back.

Do you normally go in july we used to go in august but changed last year to 2nd and 3rd weeks in July.

Hope to see you at the bar just ask Dominic and Nico who we are but you will probaly recognise us from our profile photograph.

yes we normally go in july but its usually the early part not the middle part, this year we slightlty changed cos of eldest daughter being 21 and wanting her party there. will look forward to meeting and having a drink or two !!!

Just to let you know that we rang thomas bay the other day and spoke to Irini on reception and she told us that this year there is all new waiting staff no one left from last year, so will let you know all about it when we come back in a few weeks time.

wow..thats is surprising..we are gonna miss all the regular faces on the waiting side, my girls will be heartbroken at no Nikos..What about Nivo the barman?? do you know if he's still there?

Have not heard re Nico but George is now working in the apartment /pool bar . Going towards Sidari it`s The one on the left just before you reach the junction for Sidari / melittsa . Yes- it`s the Thomas bay`s lose and hopefully Georges gain. He certainly sounds happier with it .

yes nico the barman is still there and young nico might be there in july when he finishes uni.

lizzie could you give us more details as to where george is as we would like to go and see him, we are very fond of george and he was very good to us when we were in san stefanos, if you see him tell him that we were asking after him, if you tell him we were the ones who had friends in agios geordios who he picked up he will know who we are. if we dont get to see him in may then we will try in july, many thanks

I asure you George is happier with his work in Sidari I carn't remember exactly where he said it was but I have his details if you'd like to contact him.He left over arguments with another member of staff and the subject is still very much a sore one.I'm sure Dominic would rather not discuss it aswell.

he still lives in San Stef all year roubnd and you will no doubt see him driving around the towns during the day.

we are staying at the Thomas Bay is there really anywhere else? We absolutely fell in love with the place about 5 years ago and have been every year since. this year I booked to go to Florida and Gareth said he'd rather go to Corfu. What can I say. I'm not Teresa the rep though looking at young Nicos sometimes wish I was her. HEE HEE

Well,well, at last I have found someone else on the net who is going to Thomas Bay Hotel the same time as Brenda & myself are going, back to san Stephanos for the 5th time, 4 times at the Thomas Bay Hotel, this will be our 2nd week. Our 1st week we are cruising celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, the 1st time we went to thomas bay was 2000 and had our silver wedding there.

When you arrive ask Nikos or Dominic who Ian & Brenda are !!!!!

We are well known

My Daughter and son-in-law, & Grandson are going to the thomas bay hotel for the 3rd time the 2 weeks prior to us along with his parents, who are also going back for the 3rd time, ( see what Ive started)

Will go for know and see you at the THOMAS BAY HOTEL 08/07/2005

We are going to Thomas Bay Hotel on 31/05/05. We went fot the first time last October with friends. Unfortunately they are unable to get the same holiday this year. We had a great time last year. Very relaxing close to the beach. Good laundry place opposite the Hotel. Can tell the the time in the evening by the music being played in the bars. Peolpe are really friendly. Hope to see some of you out there. This is our first 2 week holiday with just the 2 of us in 30 years. Scarry!! Nearly there Only 11 sleeps.

hi linclad, sorry a bit late in answering- it`s barman nico who is still there.

apart from heather and irene all the staff are new.
