Haven't been to Sidari since 2008, so I am bit unsure which restaurants are still open from the following list of my favourites. Any help you can give will be fantastic. From Sunshine Apartments to top road, as follows:
Hawaii Restaurant
Nicolas
Sweet Apple
The Village
The Rock
The 3 Pigs
Simposio
The Family
Mythos
The Sailors
And also, are there any new restaurants in the Canal d'Amour area I wont have seen that I should try. I already know about the Orchard, and can taste the Kleftiko already.

Hi
We been to Sidari for the last 4 years, a few restaurants have closed down. But still loads of choice, no Mythos or The Village, or Sweet Apple. The Sailors have moved to the other end of Sidari overlooking the beach, under a new name, just as good as before. I think it was called Caprioni or something like that. It is just round past Dorotheas Corner overlooking the sea. We liked Ionian Blue just down near The Orchard. The strip hasn't changed much loads of places to eat. You will sure still enjoy and have a good time there.

Sailors is now Capricio and is just past the small beachside cemetary.
You will notice a few bars are under new names/ownership and a few places you previously saw have now gone; no Red Lion, no MacDonalds.
Few changes in Canal area, new shops including a snack type food shop called Bite Size (or similar) whilst others have gone. Zafaris appartments are still there but now all-inclusive.

Thanks Juleigh and Dave. Had a feeling some would be gone. I have seen the Ionian Blue, but although it is the nearest to the Sunshine we have never tried it as it was in the opposite direction to where we were going (ie towards town). Will miss not having Damia's Yard & The Village in particular on the bottom road, as they were 2 of the best in Sidari. And we only found Sailors for the first time in 2008, and loved the Hog Roast. If they still do it at the new one I would travel to Albania to have it.
Not sure where Dorothea's Corner or the beachside cemetary are, and I go back as far as the pub crawl on Sidari main street being Pipistrello, Bolero, Crocodile, Marlera Bar, SOS Bar, Palazzo's and stagger back home.
Are we talking just off the main beach, up the road that led up to McDonalds, or further along?

Mythos do intend to open this season if they manage to secure new premises or come to some agreement with the former landlord of the old place... watch this space.
La strata is in the Canal D'Amour area and they do the most divine pizzas, a lovely restaurant and the staff are very welcoming also.

You will be OK. The new Sailors still did the hog roast also The Family have it with lamb on offer too. Can recommend both options. Dorotheas corner is the restaurant from the road opposite where McDonalds was going towards the quieter beach, you will find it once down that area. Basically at the end of the strip crossroads turn left and follow that road round you will see lots more tavernas overlooking the beach. Some nice eating places down there, also nice and relaxed. We went in Three Brothers for the first time this year, very nice food and lovely staff.

Bolero bar on the strip was closed last summer also which was a shame as one of our fav watering holes...Symposio still there and we had a lovely meal in there on our last night in Sidari last year. Another fav of ours is Romano's restaurant just behind church off main strip. Great pizza's, pasta, Greek dishes and good value all cooked to order by the family. Another one we like is the Mediteranee (excuse spelling!!) not far from Three Pigs and next to the Siesta Cocktail Bar and the tennis courts. Had some good meals in there over the years. Enjoy your hols!!!

Thanks all. Darren, where is Tavern Bikolis? Jundas, did the Mediteranee used to be known as Dyonisos? Is it the one opposite the entrance to the Sellas Hotel? Mrs Mushypea, is La Strata near Churchills, that used to be a bakery? Sorry for all the questions, but we are thinking of nothing more than 14 days of lovely Greek meals after a day by the pool with lots of ice cold Mythos and some retsina.

John, Bikolis is on the way out of Sidari going towards Peroulades. (Go past the Orchard, past road junction & it is on left hand side of road) Its a good 20-30 minutes walk but well worth it.
