Just wondering through the Winter months here in UK in December night falls at about 4.10pm and morning comes around about 7.40am.

Just wondering what time does dawn and dusk come in Corfu?

As we only see Corfu in the Summer Months I wondered how much daylight you have in Corfu through the Winter months.

Just curious.

Thank you to anyone who answers this.

Gets dark around 6.30pm and light about 7.30am- bit more than you now but UK gets longer summer days than Corfu!

At the moment sunrise is at 8am and sunset at 5.34pm. My solar lights come on between 5.30 and 6pm. Personally I can't wait for more daylight hours!

Thank you very much Ladies.

Totally agree Trisa I cannot wait for the Longer Lighter Days as well.

Also thanks Jan about saying UK get longer Summer Days. That confused me when we first came to Corfu and you being two hours ahead of UK I thought that it would not get dark until about midnight in Corfu (I know silly me)

Once again thank you ladies.

Hi Viv,
If you click on the Corfu Webcam, top left, it shows sunrise and sunset just below the latest picture. I am assuming it is correct as it is basically the same as Trisa has said.

I know summer is on its way when I can drive home from work at 5pm without lights on! Sometime in February, not too long now Bring it on!

As for Corfu, I can't wait for those long, warm evenings and beautiful sunsets.

Sooz, I think it's still light at the end of January at 5 in the afternoon, that's the yard stick that tells me the hours of day light are getting longer

I lived in Kenya for some years- 40 miles from the equator. I did not need an alarm clock as the sun rose on the building opposite at virtually the same time all year round- 12 hour days always!

Sooz it's not light at 5pm here in deepest darkest Warrington (Cheshire) Currently going through the coming to work in the dark (leave at 7am) and going home in the dark (leave work at 4.50pm) phase which is enough to get me tripping over my bottom lip Roll on the lighter days and nights hopefully towards the end of the January beginning of February as you say!
