I'm waiting for the oven to preheat so that I can try and cook the Turkey crown and the Pork before everyone else has the same idea and the gas pressure drops, otherwise the meat will still be cooking on Christmas day!

Maggy, we are having a slice of belly pork in a soft roll with stuffing and apple sauce. The rest of the pork will go towards the cold left overs on Boxing day with bubble and squeak and pickles.
Yum.

My two Christmas offerings are now out of the oven!
No clear juices left to come out! Dry as a bone! Still they look cooked, the gravy will cover up a multitude of sins!
I really feel like going back to bed for 40 winks after all I've had my lunch---one scone!

Switched computer on to check if I'd won the Euro millions lottery. Obviously not, or I would be half way to the airport by now! Came on Agni to cheer myself up with a small fix of Corfu life.

Well Maggy me and Charlotte are watching Polar Express on TV, and most importantly tracking Santa on "Norad" he has currently delivered 286,497,509 gifts so far and he and the reindeer are heading towards the Great Wall of China.
Maggy - Just potatoes for lunch. Ham for tomorrrow. Eclairs just go to prove you shouldn't go shopping when you're hungry becuase they just jumped off the self and into the basket!

Well folks I'm all done---as far as I can do!
My kitchen is now closed until tomorrow, if any one wants anything they can get it them selves
Thanks for joining in---it made my waiting/oven times appear a lot shorter, so much so that the Bacon & Sausage blankets are a bit on the toasty side---thank goodness for gravy!
Merry Christmas and Happy Cooking Ladies---& Gents

My kitchen is now closed for the night. Vegetables all prepared, table all set. I'll be doing meals on wheels tomorrow taking Christmas dinner to my daughter as she had a cesarean section on Monday. I have friends coming round for dinner so I hope I manage to drag myself away from cuddling my gorgeous new grand daughter to serve dinner to them tomorrow!!

Bought a bottle of ouzo yesterday for my Christmas treat for myself, just trying one now while browsing to see what my Agni forum friends are up to. Cooked ham in coke for tomorrow, and a chicken, and just put turkey in, pig in blankets prepared, carrots and brussels peeled, braised spicy red cabbage spiced up. Chestnut roasted to go with sprouts and smoky bacon. Trifle made and mince pies, just got eton mess to sort tomorrow. All I need now is for my grandson to decide to be born tomorrow and all my best laid plans be through the window, but rather have that than the wind the sprouts will give me!! lol Ann xxx

Have been told before if you open a bottle of coke and let it go flat then drink the whole bottle.
Well it is 04.30 here and Santa has finally been. Cannot see a Kindle anywhere maybe it is being hid by the other presents.
Just have to wait till everyone else gets up and we open the Presents.
MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone. Have a Wonderful Day.

Blimey Viv 4-30!!! I'd only been in bed 3 hours and you were up before the birds!!!
If my Christmas dinner had have been 'Come Dine With Me'
My guests would have scored me on the low side---not because of the cooking quality, but, the waiting time for the main course!
The gas pressure was low once more and I would not serve the roast potatoes until they were perfect, they took a lot of persuading to go crispy---I won them over in the end!
One of my guests had to go without a starter, as, unbeknown to me she didn't like pea, lentil and ham home made soup! I didn't have an alternative for her so she did without!
The Christmas crackers---cracked just fine, but, the paper hats inside of them were not glued together---they hung off-our heads like sheets of toilet paper, lovely colours though!
The French Coffees went down well along with the Dows Port-grapes a bit tarty!
Our guests left about 6-30---I thought that was nice, the table reset again once the dishes were done, in readiness to repeat the whole process again today---minus the crackers and Prawn Cocktails as a starter!
Another glass of Port and waiting for Dowton to come on---I didn't realise it was a 2 hour long episode---I nodded off a few times---but, awake to see the proposal on bended knee---awwww love happy endings!
I was in bed by 11-15!
This morning I'm feeling the affects of too much port & brandy!
I do hope every ones hard work in the kitchen was appreciated and your all looking forward to doing it all over again next year---or do I hear you say 'never again were going away for Christmas next year?

Well apart from me being in hospital for a couple of days just before Christmas day and having to go back in for a couple more on the 29/12..my Maria decides to try and amputate her finger with a Sharp kitchen knife on Christmas day night. The hospital had to cut off her three rings, engagement, eternity and her wedding ring that hadn't been off her finger for 47 years..that's when she started to cry.
Anyway she has stitches in and a bandaged hand..but has that stopped her this morning..no way she was up at six, she is with mine and our kids help now preparing the food for ten people this dinner time. No matter what I say she will not sit back and rest. In fact she never has been one to be fussed over, she has always got on with it and made the best of what she has.
