Well, I have gone completely bonkers and signed up for a year to Filmon.com. I can't bear not having access to what I want to watch especially sport and the 6 nations and olympics coming up, so I hope it works out. I am very frugal so feel this is a Christmas present to myself!

Sorry for being stupid but who is JEREMY KYLE?? Not very good at sport or Olympics other than F1 and a little bit of cricket.
We watch TV in Corfu on My Private Network but it does have it's limitations as not all programmes are available. We also have a Slingbox but programmes are too late for us to watch so don't use it much. You also need someone to have the other half in the UK connected to the internet which is no problem to us as we have internet in England also. Sometimes it is better as you get the local news for the area where you live.

It was the rugby last weekend which was the crunch. I am a life-long Welsh rugby supporter and was gutted when I couldn't get the Wales v Australia match. Fortunately we got it eventually on Welsh S4C so saw Shane Williams go out in style. As Graham rightly says, MPN has its limitations. It would seem that the higher profile the sport, the more difficult it is to watch. I am not the slightest bit interested in F1 yet always seem to be able to watch it! I want to see the Grand National, the Boat Race, Wimbledon etc. which is why I have signed up. I just love sport - nothing better (other than gardening and my rescue pets!)

I asked a guy, who knows all about these things, satallites etc etc and here's his reply, bad news I'm afraid:
In the past few days all the Channel 5 group of channels and a couple of ITV1 regions (Central South & Central East) have moved onto a new satellite, Astra 1N. This has a tight focus on the UK in the same way as Astra 2D. The only ITV1 regions left on Astra 2B with the wider coverage are on 12402V 27.5 2/3, but I see they are on a northerly beam so you may still have problems with those. I suspect they will also be relocating to the new 1N satellite though. I believe the reason for the changes is that on the narrower beam the channels can go free to air and so become available on the UK Freesat service. That doesn't help you though and I'm sorry I don't think there's anything I can do to help.
So, bye bye ITV and hello all them VPN providers like Filmon, Expattelly etc.
