Hi has anyone else tried shopping with Ionian Hypermarket yet? Online shopping delivered to your door free from UK, wonderful choices, and a very helpful service.
I have just ordered for the first time and had special requests which were also met, cannot wait till the order arrives. I have to add these choices are in addition to the ones being offered by UK shop Sidari

Yes I ordered a couple of weeks ago when I first found it. They also added lots of things I suggested to their range, like gluten free bread and flour and some other bits and pieces.
Unfortunately my order was incomplete when it arrived last week (wrong flour sent over and I can't have normal flour) and they are getting the correct order by the middle of this week so I am very pleased with the customer service.
The lady who owns the business used to live here in Corfu but had to return to the UK due to a serious illness.
I hope they do well, the prices are very reasonable and include delivery. I will certainly carry on ordering, especially since they carry lots of the Tesco value products.

I asked them if they could price up a garden spade for me as we tried to get one from Amazon and they won't deliver stuff like that and Ionian Hypermarket found a B&Q one for me and put some other tools on their site too, so that will arrive with my first order. Nothing seems to be too much trouble,

I can understand you ordering one from the UK Rosy...I did laugh when I looked at the site last night...there are pages and pages of Christmas cakes, goodies and chocolates on there. I guess people living here miss a taste of them sometimes. I wonder if they will all be replaced by low calorie diet food once the holidays are over? Ha ha...hope not!

Rosy - I have had a number of tools delivered from Amazon - including a spade - and an extra long hoe which looked very odd in the post office! But it does have to be ones they stock themselves.
Just placed our first order with Eileen this weekend - good site - interested to hear they will take suggestions seriously!

I'm keener to try Greek alternatives if they have them.. e.g. anyone know if there is an alternative to coffeemate over here? I cannot see it in the markets but, then I wouldn't really recognise it anyway...

LesK I vaguely remember seeing powdered creamer in AB supermarkets...not sure what its called though as I just use milk in my coffee or Nou Nou.
I also prefer to buy Greek alternatives if they have them but most of the things I have ordered are not available here or are too expensive. The prices on that site are really good and to have them delivered as well at those prices is fantastic. I worked it out and most of the things cost me less than half the price pay here when they are available.

Lesk I know you haven't lived on Corfu very long and we find that after five years we do miss the bargains from the UK and we now have to abide by our budget and take any opportunities we can to carry on living here comfortably, maybe you will see that too in time

Rosy, I spent most of my life abroad. I was brought up on carnation milk watered down to make milk for my cereal as a kid because we couldn't drink the local stuff and losing coffeemate is no big deal. I was actually asking if there was a greek equivalent not that I was missing the stuff.

2Tonsils, Yes I have tried the Noy Noy, its not bad and will probably takeover from my coffeemate as has the Nescafe Classic even though its a bit bitter for my tastes.
I have also started using those little silver coffee makers you stick on the stove - not bad either and you can generally get a good cuppa out of one of them.
I did look on the Ionian Hypermarket last night but didn't seem that big a range yet. I suspect its early days but I am keen for them to succeed as I am hoping the UK Shop goes from strength to strength as well.
