Yes I remember that dennys, and the three day week. I was working for Olympic Holidays in Queensway at the time and we used to "escape" the madness in London for the then sanity in Athens (as regards strikes). It has now gone full circle. But of course that was just before the fall of the Junta so even then, Greece had serious internal problems.
A friend of mine who works for CNN in New York told me that she and her husband joined the demonstrators on Wall Street last week, so this really does seem to be a global problem. Another friend who lives in Madrid has been emailing me about what is going on there as well.

Sorry Shilpa but these strikes are set to continue for a long time yet and are nearly all concentrated on Athens.
No matter what happens in the next few months things are not going to turn around in a hurry.

We had an email from easyjet today regarding our flights for tomorrow and they say they will not be affected, and that the strike will be over by midday today (Wednesday)

Someone told me there was another National Strike planned for today - can anyone confirm this? I hope so because I've kept the kids home from school today...
