Just to let you know that we are heading to Ioannina on the mainland. We will be gone for a couple of days while taking father-in-law to the hospital there. He is only going for a simple cataract operation.

I'll let you know how we are getting on if I manage to get to an Internet café!

Hope the site remains trouble free while I'm gone!!

Nathan

Safe journey and every good wish to Eleni's dad for the op; it'll make such a difference for him when he's has his eyes done.

Lots of Love,

Hazel Brian and Naomix

Nathan

We are waiting for two new dogs that are coming via the Greek Animal Rescue people.  At the moment, they are being fostered in Ioannina by a lovely woman from New Zealand called Mary who lives there with her Greek husband.

Now Nathan - the dogs' names are Sef and Rania and your mission is to seek them out while you're there and make sure they are not getting so cosy in their foster home that they don't want to leave!!!

I'm sure your old Petheros won't mind if you have a bit of a diversion on the way to the hospital - after all, it is for a good cause, eh?

Anyway, no pressure at all but just remember that the future happiness of those two poor little orphaned babies is in your hands!

Stuart

Very subtle Stuart

What kind of dogs are they and how long before you "take delivery"?

We have just got back!

Dad's operation was a complete success. The hospital amazing. NO waiting arround etc, and we were able to leave an hour or so after. Everyone soooo friendly and helpful.

Dad has no pain and is happy. Journey back though was quite long - slow drive and ferry to Corfu.

Nathan

PS 567 posts in only a day and a half - you have all been busy!!!

Excellent news about your father-in-law, but you don't seem to have mentioned how you got in with the search for my dogs.

Or is it that you wanted to make it a great big surprise???

Hi Nathan, we're glad all went well with your father in law's operation, an hour and a half, wow that is efficient, you wouldn't get that kind of service in the UK.
