You right it wouldnt, we were there in July just love the little place. Its just a shame the amount of sunbeds that has been put on the beach it really takes the real Greek village feel away and will certainly put people off going back...

Lets hope they are on the left (looking seawards) of the Bacchus and the snack bars, as it is also one of my favourite spots! They can have the "middle" bit between the two parts of the village! Roll on Monday 22nd

We decided to be married there when we were told by friends from the village that the year before there had been lots of weddings on the jetty. Also we have been visiting Messonghi for about 30 years and it's like going home for me so it was the perfect location. We held our reception with our very good friends Athina and Petros at Dionysos - they made it magical for us.

Speaking of weddings in Messonghi, would anyone know if we could have a blessing and/or renewal of vows by a Greek Priest when we are not Greek Orthodox? I know that there is a Catholic Church in Mesonghi, but I am a member of the Methodist Church( where we were married) and my husband is definitely "lapsed"!!!
Sorry to hijack your original post aliki!
