I couldn't get on either and had decided that there had been an electricity cut. Having not been on for at least 24 hours I didn't realise that the fires had started again. Hope this isn't a sign of a summer of fires. I really feel for the people who live so near to them, but also the firemen are doing a sterling job in controling them, Well done

Martyn and Elliemay...I'm going to give you guys two weeks of peace and quiet starting this Sunday.
My biggest holiday wish is they get these fires under control and put out...not for my benefit because I don't need to go if things are that bad, but for all people in Corfu wherever they are..and if the fire gets anywhere near you, just get out, forget any personal belongings just get aways as fast as possible..
As far as I'm concerned it could rain the whole two weeks of my holiday if it meant all the people were going to be safe.

Graham, I'm just glad that all you guys no matter what nationality, are all safe and sound after all those terrible fires.
You Grandchildren can be proud of their grandad for keeping them safe and out of harms way, and it must of been worrying for their parents back in the UK as well.

It may have been that, as a parent will say to a disobedient child "time out. You're grounded" . So it was with the blackout of access to this site for a spell. (Due to the nasty posts by some). Just a thought.
