Mickandy believe it or not Jersey in the channel islands is classed as NOT EU for tax purposes as are the Canary Islands although they are Spanish territory. Therefore there are strict limits ie: 200 cigarettes. You can bring as many cigarettes as you like from Greece if they are for your own use although customs may ask questions if you exceed their recommended amount of 3200 cigs per adult. As I said before, BRANDED spirits are more expensive than the UK however I have found a non branded Scotch whisky at 12.35 euros a 70cl bottle and a Vodka at 17 euros a litre in a couple of the larger supermarkets.

Sid we did stick to the limits when coming from and going to Jersey. We do not smoke so we had no cigarettes but prices for a litre of spirits were very good and obviously perfumes a good buy. A lovely airport too at St Helier.

Hi blondejo20..the ones at €34.00 at the airport must have been old stock.
