Have just spent ages trying to upload photos into a new gallery in my photos - Corfu 2010, but when I go back to my photo list the title is there but with no photos. I also seem to have some duplicated sub galleries with no photos in, how can I get rid of them?

Hi, I tried to upload a photo to my gallery and got the following message: persits.upload.1 error '800a0008'
At least one of the uploaded files exceeds the maximum allowed size.
/gallery/upload/upload_jpeg.asp,line49
I have absolutely no idea what this means. Photo taken with the same digital camera as all the other photo's in my gallery - HELP!!! Thanks, Moyra.
P.S. Bear in mind I'm a complete technophobe!

I think the space allowed on the web-page for avatar photos is square and as your photo is oblong it will therefore be forced to fit and appear squashed.
If you want it to appear un-squashed you would have to 'trim' or 'crop' it in a photo-editing programme BEFORE uploading it.
There are facilities in some versions of Windows for this e.g.Photogallery or Live Photogallery, as well as several other free programmes available online.
This particular photo cannot be cropped to a perfect square shape without losing some of the contrasting detail at the sides. Maybe you have others taken from a bit further away ?
