Back home after two wonderful weeks of hot sunshine in Sidari! Cant wait till our next visit in September! Met up with our Greek friends and made a lot of new friends, had wonderful meals and a very relaxing time! Wish we were still there!

Given the chance (and the money!) would you take a three week holiday or two week holiday followed by a one week break later on?
A number of years ago (before the birth of our son who is now 17!) we took a couple of three week holidays and they were idyllic. It usually takes me a couple of days to chill out after the journey and for the last few days I'm starting to think of going home, hence my preference would be for option one. You also only pay to fly once. It's a tough one as we have also enjoyed some winter breaks to places like Vienna or the cheaper option of a cottage in Pembrokeshire for the New Year.

Well Wynne If I had the holiday allowance I would allow myself 3 weeks early in the year and 3 weeks later.
We have always toyed with the idea of three weeks and a week later but have never done it yet. I would be more than happy (money permitting anyway) to spend 3 weeks and then a week for a quick break later in the year.
This year we have only been able to visit for a week in May and we are due to return for a week in August (mind you this is because we used up our holidays in November last year for a return trip to Jamaica!!!)

Good question Wynne. I think for those employed if your Employer allows you a 3 week break the question is then just how big would the pile of work be on your return. I know some people are eager to get back to work after a week but I'm eager not to even return!
If total finance is important for the year then a 3 week holiday with a saving on flights is a good option.
I am certainly toying with the idea of 3 weeks next year as I've been unable to afford the 1 week later in the year recently.

About 20 years ago my MD at the time let me have 4 weeks yup 4 weeks! I stayed in Petriti, utter bliss, as after 2 you see others going home and you say to yourself 2 more to go! Then on the 3rd week same happens and you say one more!! Also with that company my workload was done for me. But now all is different 2 weeks only and back to a pile, need I say more. Petriti/Psara/Messonghi August can't wait.

My husband and I and two kids all going for two weeks then husband coming home and the kids and I are stopping another week. Its a shame he couldn't take the kids and leave me on my own but he wouldn't get much work done would he. Kassiopi is one of the few places I know I'll be fine on my own with them.

I would love to stop for 3 weeks but think my dog might forget who I am! Its a long time to be in the kennels without her home comforts!!! Think of the extra cost!!! Kennels aren't cheap!!!

Well we have also been looking at maybe sneaking a further week at the beginning of October (finances permitting) again I would have to take a week off without pay which is a bit of a sickener but depending on how much I miss it when I come back in September (which will be loads no doubt) then we may return for a cheapy deal but we shall have to wait and see.
