I was just wondering if anyone knows of a sunset boat trip that runs in the north east of Corfu on a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday?
My boyfriend and I are travelling to Corfu on 17th June (his first time there and my first without my parents!!) and we have hired a car on the 20th, 21st and 22nd of June! I was intending on driving to Kalami for the day (on any of those days) to snorkel and enjoy the gorgeous beach there...then wanted to go to Kassiopi or somewhere in the early evening and get a boat trip that was a sunset cruise! Not too bothered where we get picked up from (as we have the car), or what the boat trip includes...just want to be on a boat watching the sunset!
I got a brochure sent to me from C.O.S.M.I.C tourist office but they only do a sunset trip on a Saturday (we will arrive in Corfu airport that morning and won't be hiring the car on that day) so we wouldnt be able to go with that company.
I'm sure plenty of other people would do sunset boat trips though, its just a question of finding them!
Can anyone offer any advice please???
Thanks so much!!

Hi Ukjenjen
Kassiopi is the central point for most of the boat trips bookable via the tourist offices in the various resorts along the north and north east coasts of Corfu. Transport into Kassiopi from these other resorts is provided and the cost of this is usually included in the price of the excursion. Basically whoever you book with you usually find yourself on a Cosmic boat.
The reason the 'sunset cruise' only runs once a week is probably because the boat is used for other trips on other nights. 2/3 times a week they run an evening boat trip to Corfu Town, on the evenings the shops are open. I think these are Tuesday, Friday & possibly Thursday. This is a very enjoyable trip that we have done before and will do again. You get an hour+ boat ride down the east coast to Corfu town, time to shop & dine, then a boat ride back.
You could also enquire with Blue Bay Travel based in Kalami:
They use their own boat for some of the excursions they offer.
With regard to sunset, from the east coast what you will see is the sun dropping behind the mountains. To actually see the sun drop below the horizon I think you would need to be at Peroulades on the north coast or on the west coast of the island. I'm not so familiar with the west coast and what boat trips are available from west coast resorts.
I hope you find a trip that suits you and that you both have a great holiday. Deedee

The Cosmic boats only run their sunset cruises on a Saturday and my car is booked from Monday-Wednesday.
I will be going to Corfu town for a day and night by car so didn't want a boat trip that took us back there again (and it gives you 4 hours there so you can't be on the boat for very long)!
Thanks DeeDee...I have looked for trips from elsewhere that will travel down the west coast! And I might have found something good...

3rd from the bottom is a sunset trip from Sidari that takes you down the west coast to San Stefanos where you go for a meal with dancing!
I have emailed this company to find out what days it runs on...so will post again once I hear back from them!
Just under 3 weeks now and I can't wait!!!

You could try Nautilus Daily Cruises. Based in Nissaki they do a variety of trips (day & evening). The evening cruise is to Corfu town and is a lovely run. They pick up in Kalami, San Stephanos and Nissaki but can do other pickups on request. Evening trips are on Tuesday and Thursday. Website address for info is: www.dailycruisescorfu.com
They are great hosts and we're looking forward to a couple trips with them in July.

Thanks smfmarty, only we didn’t want to go to Corfu town as we're already spending an evening there and also it cuts down on the time spent on the boat...which is what we are after in the first place! I just can’t believe with the gorgeous sunsets Corfu experiences people don't make more use of them and so 'sunset cruises'! Went on a great one in Ibiza last summer on a catamaran and it was an unforgettable experience!! Just want something like that again this summer!

That sounds lovely. A boat ride, sunset and you get to have a look at another resort too. I hope it runs on one of the nights you want it.
