The parade starts at 12.30...If the weather is as good as it is today you could be at Corfu town around 09.30-10.00, play it safe and find an easy parking place in Garitsa bay since some of the roads around Liston area will be closed for traffic.

I watched it on Corfiot TV and it seemed to be shorter than usual? I don't like enormous crowds very much so although I am only ten minutes from Liston I stayed at home and did a lot of gardening. As I dug away, I could hear the Filarmoniki playing their hearts out in Kinopiastes so I had the best of both worlds. Beautiful day today and quite warm - Spring is definitely on the way.

We went to watch the Kassiopi parade as usual, and yes Lavinia we also thought that it was much shorter than the last few years we have watched ... any one throw any light as to why?...it was enjoyable though watching the children march and the parents taking photos and then the coffee and chat afterwards.

There wasn't one at all this year in Ipsos. Apparently it's to do with the local councils disappearing leaving only one council in town who didn't organise the parades in the other areas.
